In regards to Mr***s most recent complaint: A request for an estimate to get the car to “run properly” was not possible without further diagnosticMJM Was not given enough time with the vehicle to perform this diagnosticWithout knowing the full nature of the problem we were unable to offer a solutionNot willing to wait the Mr [redacted] then had Mazda diagnose the vehicle Mr [redacted] contacted MJM saying that Mazda had diagnosed the problem as being the VVT sprocketAt this point MJM offered to supply the labor to replace the suggested parts at no cost to Mr [redacted] and offered to allow Mr [redacted] to supply his own parts Mr [redacted] states in his complaint that MJM is “stalling” on completing the repair, when in fact MJM had not received all the parts supplied by Mr [redacted] until late in the day on Friday July 17th Because of the nature of the repair and the late hour of delivery of the parts required, MJM was unable to finish the repairs same dayMJM Engine is closed on the weekends and is working on the vehicle today: July 20, This afternoon, Monday July 20, 2015, MJM completed the installation of the parts requested by Mr***Once the engine was running MJM found that replacing these parts has not made any effect on the way the engine runsAuthorization was obtained from Mr [redacted] for MJM to remove the intake manifold for inspectionMJM found that the fuel injectors had been installed incorrectly: missing seals and cross threaded bolts not installed all the wayUpon the vehicles original visit to MJM we told Mr [redacted] that there was an issue with the installation, and that it needed to be looked at by the original installerIt seems this was not done As mentioned in our last response and this one; we are replacing the parts that the dealership has recommendedWe are doing our best to help Mr*** I have included some pictures of the source of the problem, as well as the invoice to Mr *** Please see attached Thank you, [redacted] MJM Engines [redacted]
I have had a Very Positive and Rewarding Experience with MJM EnginesI have a diesel truck and was towing my trailer out to the desert to have some fun when an engine problem developedWent to the Ford Dealer, they told me what they thought was the issue; I purchased the parts they recommendedI am a motor head and was not quite comfortable with what the Ford Dealer was telling me, that I had turbo issuesI decided to call an engine guy, in this case it happen to be MJM Engines, I had heard of them beforeAfter talking with them for a while I could tell they knew enginesI had my truck towed from the desert to MJMThey told me the engine had excessive blow by and most likely had burnt a hole into a pistonI gave them approval, sure enough that was the issueI have driven the truck several months now and I am very happy, the engine is stronger than everI know if there is ever an issue, MJM Engines will back me up 100%
Spoke with both Mikes on the phone re my Fblown V6.8L gas engineBoth were very courteous, knowledgeable and understanding on the phoneWhile I haven't brought my truck in to shop yet for service, I likely will choose this shop based upon my experience on the telephoneClearly this business is run by two gentlemen
