Bad workmanship, and bad productMarch, 2016, MKT Flooring installed hardwood flooring in our home. I noticed a lot of gaps, scratched wood, splits, un- level, wrong color of puddy. We addressed all the issues with the contractor, he said the wood was defective. So he had a sales rep to come out to my home to look at wood, the salesman said yes the wood was defective and he would file a warranty claim. A couple days later the sales rep called me to say the company was not going to warranty my floor because it was inspector. I contacted the company that the wood came from and was told being the contractor had installed all the wood they could not warranty it. They said the contractor should have stopped installing wood when he had reached 5% of waste, but the contractor continued installing bad wood and all.Desired SettlementWe are looking to get our down payment of $4,000.00 dollars back to hire someone to re-do the work MKT did.
