This customer did give us a $depositUpon giving us the deposit and agreeing to purchase this truck, the customer had J&J Truck Sales, Inc customize the body control console and convert the PTO Pump from an air shift to a cable shiftThis involved removing the air shift mechanism on
the pump and configuring to a cable or manual type linkage at the pumpIt also involved removing the shift control tower from the truck and reconfiguring it so that it would accept a manual T handle body controller, while removing air lines and replacing with a 3/8'' cable. This involved parts and labor in the amount of $1,The customer came down, test drove the truck and a simple check engine light came on while he was test drivingWe pulled the truck in the shop and plugged our diagnostic laptop to it and ran diagnostics on the engineThe fault that was in the truck was a code for NOXsensor, which at this point was inactive. We agreed to fix this problem immediately by having one of our employees go get the Noxsensor and we would install it and re-test the system after getting up to operational temperature, and offered the customer, in writing, a guarantee if anything happened to reactivate this fault code while he was transporting the vehicle home, J&J Truck Sales, Incwould pay to have it fixed at his local *** dealer, no matter the costAfter making several phone calls to his mechanic friends, the customer decided not to purchase the truckWe had specific expense incurred to modify this truck for this particular customer and all was done so after the customer gave us the deposit and agreed to purchase this vehicleWhen the customer decided not to take the truck, he agreed that it was his obligation to pay for the expenses incurred while modifying this particular truck to his certain requestsI discounted the invoice to help the customer on his obligation for modificationWe refunded $of his $deposit due to expenses incurred to modify this truck to this customer's specification(99% of other customers desire the air shift console, so at some point it will probably have to be reconfigured back to an air shift application which will mean more expense to J&J Truck Sales, Inc.)
