was out of town for 7 days.
Mrs. [redacted] is correct in stating that we did not get her car repaired in the time frame expected. Unfortunately on rare occasion this type of problem does arise in the automotive repair business.
Mrs. [redacted]'s car came in with a no reverse gear problem and as per the enclosed estimate it would take a normal transmission overhaul to repair it. This was not the case, after having the transmission in and out of the car 2 times and 4 calls to our trade association (ATSG) technical department it was determined that the original transmission had an internal crack or cross leak in the case causing the original problem and that it was not able to be overhauled.
At that point we had to obtain another transmission to overhaul. This was done at no extra charge to Mrs. [redacted] or to PRC.
During the time that Mrs. [redacted]'s car was at our shop we worked on it diligently trying to repair it as soon as possible. We worked on it everyday Monday thru Friday during normal business hours. I also came in after hours on Saturdays 9/12/15 and 9/19/15 to work on it.
While Mrs. [redacted]'s car was at our shop, as an extra service and at no charge we repaired a front right wheel bearing, replaced the transmission cooler lines, repaired a broken wiring harness and before giving her car back I hand washed it and put in $5.00 worth of gasoline.
She did not ask me to do all of this; I just wanted to do something to help out for the inconvenience created by not getting the car repaired in the time frame originally expected. I feel we did everything possible in getting the car fixed as quick as we could under the circumstance. Please feel free to contact me directly with any questions concerning this matter.
