I want to paint an accurate timeline of events as well as explain the supplemental documents I have attached Mr*** purchased the engine in question from our salesman Darren on October 14th This engine was sold out of a *** ** *** our stock number ***, the unit had 74,
miles at the time of dismantle no issues were known, compression was on every cylinder and the vehicle ran well free of any defects I have attached the engine diagnostic sheet prepared by our technician at the time the vehicle was dismantled To give background to why the vehicle was acquired by us it had a transmission failure (which is common of these vehicles), I have attached photos of the donor vehicle for context. Two to three months time after the initial purchase Darren received a call from Mr*** stating that the vehicle was running well but had a miss Darren through discussing the issue with Mr*** and hoping to trouble shoot the problem was made aware all the plugs, wires, coils, etchad been replaced at the time of installation This information allowed us to eliminate spark as a concern in which case Darren asked Mr*** to have the shop that installed the motor perform a compression test to see if the engine had developed a bad cylinder and we could go from there He also requested copies of all installation documents and receipts to verify a proper install. A couple more months went by, and then he finally heard back from Mr*** At this point Mr*** was very upset and wanted to know why no one had come to perform the compression test Darren reiterated that the shop who performed the original installation would need to run the compression test Our company does not have a mobile mechanic, we had been waiting for him to have the test run and once this was accomplished we would have a starting point to resolve the issue Over the next few months this test was never performed According to Darren Mr*** became increasingly more angry and rude in their exchanges, and additionally now the engine was described as having a knock Knocking was never discussed before, originally the engine was said to be running well just that it had a miss At this point I (Jesse, the Sales Manager) was brought into the process, this was August of All of my salespeople are very knowledgeable and are great at helping customers resolve issues should they arise At this point Darren brought me up to speed and let me know he had tried to help resolve Mr***’s issue but had no luck in getting Mr*** to perform the desired compression test We have a third party warranty company (Car-Inspector) that can be used when warranty issues cannot be resolved in house At this point in the game I thought it best to submit the claim to them, and see if they could make headway in resolving Mr***’s issue. Car-Inspector received the claim and worked for nine days to get the installation documents requested by Darren at the first mention of the issue Low compression was mentioned by the mechanic but no compression test results were ever provided I have attached claim log and the documentation they received from the shop Given the sporadic and incomplete information provided by Mr***, the findings of Car-Inspector and the absence of any physical receipts for parts pertaining to the installation of this unit I have had no choice but to deny his warranty claim I have also attached copies of our sales invoice showing what is required to validate a warranty claim should an issue arise

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

After the engine was initially installed, we noticed a check engine and after the code was read it has several codes. The mechanic said the vehicle's ECU would take time to adjust itself with the new engine and after sometime the codes would eventually disappear.
After a week code of the code has disappear and the 2 of still remained which was misfire in bank 2 and 3. The mechanic suggested a complete tune up to change all the plugs, cables and the ignition coil, cam sensor and that would rectify the problem.
we proceeded in doing that. Bare in mind during this whole time, the vehicle was running rough and shook when every you tired to move the vehicle and we tried to fix the vehicle with out involving M&M.
after we replaced all the possible parts that was known to cause a misfire, then I contacted Darren to see if he could help.
After Darren and I several time and not even a single time did he request any copy of installation document and a receipt to verify proper installation.
I offered to have the vehicle towed to his shop or any shop of his choosing to have them figure out the problem and Darren said he will send some one to come to the mechanic's shop to have them run their own test and see what the problem might be. I gave them time to honor his word and after 2 months no one showed.
I again contacted Darren any asked him why no one showed then he said he never said he would send a mechanic to come check on the vehicle. DURING OUR EXCHANGES I WAS POLITE WITH DARREN.
A second mechanic from the shop re-diagnose discovered that the engine was knocking. that diagnosis was missed by the first mechanic. Bare in mind am not a mechanic and even if the engine knocks I won't be able to determine it.
I contacted Darren and he said at this point he would get his sales manager involved.
I was instructed to send a copy of the receipt from the mechanic to the car inspector. After I emailed the receipt to him I never heard back from him. I called the car inspector 2 weeks after I sent him the email and left him a message to confirm if he has even received the email I send but he didn't answer. I reached out to him again 2 weeks later after my initial phone contact and still didn't hear back from him. I called him a week after the second contact then he responded and told me to contact Darren. I called Darren and he said this matter is being handled by his manager.
This is my question, How can one determine a condition of a vehicle by just looking a  receipt which out physically interacting with the vehicle.
You might call the information Sporadic but I am not a mechanic and that is the best information I can provide you. All I know is the vehicle shakes violently when its started and that hasn't changed and not drivable.  Again my offer still stands. I am willing to tow the vehicle to any shop of you choosing for them to diagnose the vehicle then you can acquire a complete information. That cost will be mine.
I am willing to do what ever that's needed to get this situation resolved amicable.
Mr, Darren never requested a copy and receipt
Regards,
