I have used M & M Heating and Cooling for the last 23 years, fall and spring tuneup. During the service call the tech always changes my filter, yesterday I forgot to ask him to do this. I called M & M and was told if they came out to change the filter it would be another $89.00 service call charge. So I will be looking for another heating contractor in the fall! So much for GOOD Customer Service! This is their attitude towards a 23 year customer! THANKS M & M !
They came, didn't fix anything and charged $168.95.
Every time I hear or see an M & M commercial, I think of how these people took advantage of me and wish I could warn other folks. Back in the middle of March during that really cold snap, our furnace started making noises like it was having trouble switching on and off. After a few days we woke up one morning and the furnace had quit and it was very cool in the house. I turned it off and back on, moved the thermostat and it fired up but still made the noises. I figured I had better call someone and have them take a look at it. I picked M & M. So they send a guy out, I tell him my story. He looks at it, can't find anything wrong and tells me M & M's standard procedure is to do a cleaning if they can't find anything wrong. I told the service guy I did not want a cleaning, I wanted to know what was wrong with the furnace. So he has got me. I would be charged for the service call and the cleaning. $168.95. Well the service call failed to diagnose our problem, and the cleaning didn't fix anything. Feeling taken advantage of and unhappy I called several times to complain. Finally thru an interpreter, I kind of got to complain to the owner/in-charge person. They did send me a small refund. If I owned a business, and I could not fix the problem or even diagnose it, it would be a "No Charge."
M & M Heating has worked on my furnace two times in the last few years. Both times the service man, [redacted], did an excellent job. He was professional and courteous and explained what he was doing. [redacted] did the maintenance etc. on November 4th. There was a problem with the furnace this morning, November 9th. M & M had a service man come today to take care of it. [redacted] (spelling?) the service man checked everything over three times to make sure everything was fine and showed me how to read the signal light if anything is wrong in the future.
I am very happy with their customer service and the expertise of both the service men. I have and will continue to recommend them to my friends.
