M&M Movers had moved us into our new home in Lincoln Park
in August It was a terrible move, as the movers kept me
waiting for them to come back to get the rest of the furniture in our high-rise
rental; taking hours to return They had forgotten to move a bedroom
setAfter the move, we realized that my 55” flat screen Samsung TV was broken and no longer worked, as the movers had damaged it while in transitI had initially emailed the Company about this, to discuss the damages and the settlement of the paymentI followed the directions of their email response back to me, by calling and leaving
voice mails to: Deirdre, the Operations Manager, Maura ***, the President,
and Jeff, the Foreman on our move None of the responded or returned my callsInitially and additionally, my wife had texted Deirdre prior to my calls and emails to inquire how we would settle up the final payment of the moveAfter no responses to help us, I did purchase a replacement TV, reminding them of the fact that I purchased another smaller 42” TV, which was less expensive than what a 55” TV would have cost to replace the damaged oneHow could we resolve this situation if they never acknowledged our attempts to settle the bill, or would not communicate with us?
I found this confusing and very strange for a “reputable” Company to behave like thisThen years go by, and I receive a letter from their attorney threatening me legal action if I don’t pay the outstanding bill, with no mention of my previous attempts that were blatantly and intentionally ignored to pay and settle the damagesI might add that personally, I have a perfect credit rating, and I have NEVER not paid an outstanding bill NEVER

Disappointed with recent moveThis was my 5th time using M&M to move, each time it's gotten worse with the quality of their employeesBut I stuck with them because they were still better than others I've tried in the past and the pricing is reasonable, but it's time to try another
During my most recent move, they arrived hours late, but did not notify us that were not arriving on time so we just started getting more and more worriedWhen finally arrived, they brought guys (had contracted for 4) to move a sq foot office! It was too many guys, at least were standing around at any given timeWe were charged more money for the extra guys that were sent and no concession made for being hours late, or even an apologyAnd since they arrive so late, you could tell they were tired, and were not moving as fastThe guys that came didn't have the details or address of where to go, I can only guess that the owner completely forgot about our appointment or it was never communicated
Also if you ever try to call the office, you will 100% of the time get the answering serviceI have never ever reached M&M on the phone during business hours everThis gets really annoying when you just want to reach a person for a question and when we had trouble during our move and had to play phone tagDespite my past loyalty, I really cannot recommend them

In July of 2017, we had M&M move us only miles We chose them because they were a local affiliate based in Lake Forest...what a mistake While the moving job was fine, the company bait and switched us regarding pricing Our pricing went up dramatically from the quote to the actual move Was it an incompetent appriser? Not sure, but we packed 85% of our goods, not in quote, and our price went up 40%! There response...none...pay our bill I would never use this local affiliate or the company ever again Dishonorable people If you do use them...you better add 40% to your quote

missing several belongings

6 unidentified men entering my home and dispersing to pack my items. No order or tracking no labeling of contents

men working while 4 sit in garage smoking cigarettes and going through my garage attic
