1/31/11:am Telephone response obtained as follows: The company stated they did agree to do the job and they collected a $3,deposit on the job that needed about $8,worth of work done.The company began work upon receipt of the deposit and payments were to be made by the consumer as work progressed.The company stated his work crew varied each time from 3-workers.The company stated they secured the property both inside and out with boards.The company stated the basement had water damage and it took about two weeks for them to clean out the bulk items from from the basement plus more time to clean the basementThe company stated they spent weeks clearing overgrown bushes, weeds and trees from around the property.The company stated they scraped the exterior of the property.The company stated they were not there everyday but off and on for a couple of months.The company stated the consumer knew the company had other jobs that they were doing and the company was in communication with the consumer throughout the process advising them on what was happeningThe company stated they re-keyed the front door, they had one key and one key was given to the consumer's daughterThe company stated another relative- a cousin, got a key also but they did not give it to themThe company stated at no time did the work crew have a key to the property, he had to let them in each timeThe company stated the consumer contacted them via telephone to advise that they were going to sale the property and requested work be stoppedThe company stated that the consumer requested $1,of the deposit back, the company stated they told the consumer they could not give the money back.The company stated they have done work to the property as well as paid the crew that worked on the propertyThe company stated there was also about $1,worth of material left in the home and he is not sure if it is still there.The company stated they did provide the quote to the consumer but no signature was obtained because the work was being done for familyThe company stated no permits were pulled because the company had not got to a point were a permit was needed yet
