[redacted] placed his order with us, mmToolParts.com, on the
afternoon of Friday October 30th. His order for two of the same
bearings was processed the following business day, Monday November 2nd.
At the time...
of order processing, we discovered a price discrepancy with his
order that, unfortunately, was too large for us to absorb. The manufacturer
had, without announcement, changed the price of the bearings [redacted] ordered and
the price rose from $11.02 to $65.18. Altogether, this totals a difference of
$108.32. We contacted [redacted] on the 2nd regarding the price change
and informed him that, in order for us to fill the order, we would need
additional payment. [redacted] objected, which is understandable, so we offered him
our cost on the bearings, asking to only break even on the order. [redacted]
objected to this as well, and we were forced to cancel the order.
Because we have so many listing on our website (hundreds of
thousands of listings) from so many manufacturers, because those listing
sometimes share part numbers, and those manufacturers don’t notify vendors of
price/part number/design changes, the information on our website is subject to
change at any time. Additionally, while we never want to cancel an order
without first exhausting every possible avenue to fill it, we reserve the right
to cancel orders at any time, for any reason. In [redacted]’s case, we were not
able to fill his order, and it was canceled on November 2nd, the
same day it was processed. The order was refunded in full.
The below links show the bearing [redacted] ordered on several
competing websites. The bearing is listed between $65.18 and $75.65. This
illustrates a price that is set by the manufacturer, not by the seller.

While we are not able to provide Delta’s version of the bearing
[redacted] ordered, we would be happy to send generic replacements for the
$11.02(each) originally paid. These bearings would not come from Delta, but
would have the same dimensions, and offer the same performance. If [redacted] will
accept generic replacement bearings, we can send the parts immediately upon the
placement of a new order.
