I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me with the following terms: Publish the following comments and the terms of payment:In the first conversation and on, at least, six occasions, I told [redacted] I surmised the incoming water was not flowing to the panel in the NEW [redacted] I purchased from and had him install, due to a mineral buildup clog in the saddle valve. I specifically told him I have a lot of sediment buildup from the incoming water lines. Routinely I clean my dishwasher, coffee maker with vinegar, use only distilled water in my iron, steamer and ALWAYS use purified water for my dog. My theory made sense. When [redacted] insisted there was NO PROBLEM and my humidifier was working I filed a complaint to the Revdex.com I suggested [redacted] have [redacted] HVAC diagnose the problem. [redacted] did not take my suggestion for a resolution. So I contracted [redacted] HVAC. Within 5 minutes the tech disassembled the solenoid  and found it was clogged, cleaned it and reassembled it. I was happy to pay $90.00 and FINALLY have a working humidifier! So it was not the saddle valve that was the problem. I did not know here was a strainer in the solenoid BUT it is not my responsibility to know that BUT IS THE RESPONSIBLILITY OF THE PERSON I PAID TO KNOW AND FIX! SIX WEEKS of calling [redacted] to return to fix a BRAND NEW HUMIDIFIER THAT NEVER WORKED, being put off and stood up for an appointment, living with the dry heat which caused shocking when I touched a light switch or pet my dog, and trouble breathing. Yep, my mistakes for being patient, assuming [redacted] was honest, assuming he was competent and trusting he would fix the problem. Inexcusable that he did not replace the saddle valve and the humidistat when he installed that system as they were PART OF AND INCLUDED IN THE [redacted] SYSTEM states "he didn't want to mess up the wallpaper! THERE IS AND NEVER WAS WALLPAPER ANYWHERE IN MY HOUSE! PS. [redacted] prices for [redacted] 600...$137.60 includes complete system .FYI I found the humidistat hidden behind the venting and replaced the original myself in 15 minutes! In conclusion this was a very bad experience...time consuming, frustrating and physically uncomfortable. Righteous angry due to incompetence and [redacted] attitude. I was not out to have my $300 returned. I JUST WANTED A WORKING HUMIDIFIER! BUT, as he refused to accept my offer to pay for a [redacted] tech to fix the problem, I happily accept HIS resolve to refund the total amount of $300.00. The $210.00 net to me is Karma. Certified or cashiers check to address on invoice, USPS delivery confirmation or signature acceptance on or before March 20, 2015.It is March 6.Failure to do so will result in a retraction with my agreement to YOUR resolution and I will reopen the complaint AND explore other legal remedies.

humidifier - which was dry rotted. In reference to her letter stating that RETAIL is $135.00 -1 am not sure where she got that figure. Humidifiers alone install for $300 to $450; not mentioning piping, repairing the dryer vent, plus labor, I cleaned and inspected the furnace, and replaced the air filter.  Myself and my employee returned to install the humidifier and repair the dryer vent. She paid me $350.00 and I returned $50 stating that it was only $300. A week later, she phoned and said that it was not working. I again returned to troubleshoot and found out that it was turned off. I also instructed her that in these extreme temperatures, if the setting was set above 15% it would frost up her windows. In regards to the age of the furnace, it is not 3 years old; it is more than 20 years old; which can be determined by the serial #. The reason the humidistat was not replaced is because the new one didn't match up to the existing one and the wall paper would be compromised by installing the new one. The wallpaper is old, and you would clearly notice by replacing the humidistat. Ms. [redacted] is a heavy smoker and the wallpaper is colored by age and smoke. S. Bearer Heating & Cooling

Review: This past summer I used the Revdex.com to find an accredited HVAC in my area with good ratings.

I chose MS Bearer to check a problem with my furnace. He was prompt and was very personable so I called him again in January to FIX my humidifier which needed new tubing and a saddle valve replaced AND to do a seasonal inspection of my furnace.

He came out promptly and said the humidifier WAS NOT WORTH A REPAIR. So I agreed to have him purchase and install a new humidifier to replace my old one....for $300. RETAIL is $135.00, AND add venting with a damper, to inspect the furnace, to replaced dryer vent and fixed a garage spicot.

He called me when he made the purchase and we made an appointment for a few days later.

He brought a coworker and I left them to do the work.

He came upstairs and I paid him $300 cash.

After a week I went to the basement to check the system as my humidity was still soo low. No water was flowing thru the tubing. It was not working.

Called him and he said it would "take time" to adjust and to set the humidistat at a higher setting which I did.

Few days later I called him again and said it was not working and I was getting zapped every time I touched a light switch and my humidity reader was at 15%. It should be 25 to 30%.

He said he would come out but he was really busy repairing furnaces for people without heat.

I was understanding and a few days later he did come out and messed with the saddle valve and said it was fine. The water did start to flow. I also told him my furnace was rattling which it did not before. He said it was old. it is 3 years old

Important to say that, AT THAT TIME, I did not know a new humidistat ($79.00) and saddle valve ($10.00) should have been installed and WERE a part of the [redacted] system I bought . I never saw the box and it's contents. Also I assumed he left the warranty, installation and pertinent [redacted] information which HE DID NOT. He did leave the bill.

After the water stopped flowing I called him again! This time I told him I understood people need heat BUT I need humidify due to asthma. Made an appointment and HE STOOD ME UP.

I decided to call [redacted] to understand what I might do to fix it MYSELF. Having spent so much time and being so aggravated I did not want more excuses from [redacted] I just wanted the humidifier to work!

[redacted] told me the new humidistat, (value of $79 AND a new saddle valve.($10) were part of the purchase AND I needed the paperwork for warranty. They suggested I contact a new contractor to fix the problem.

So now I had a non working humidifier, no warranty and a contractor who did not replace the humidistat and saddle valve which I had PAID FOR!

I called [redacted] and left a message 2 WEEKS AGO. Told him I wanted it fixed, the humidistat and saddle valve replaced, the furnace inspected and the paperwork.

Has NOT CALLED ME BACK.

So now I have to take him to court which is not something I want to do BUT, I will to get what I paid for.

SO much of my time spent and SO much aggravation PLUS really angry he stole from me.

I am filing a complaint so others will be aware of my experience.Desired Settlement: I gave him the opportunity to fix the system. He did not. Then, when I realized he did not replace vital parts which came with the system I was/am angry.

Let [redacted] arrange and pay for the replacement of the parts and the repair of the system.

I do not want him to come to my house. [redacted] suggests a local contractor, [redacted], to fix the problem.
