On August 28, 2019, ***, a licensed contractor (CGC#XXXXXXX) was legally contracted and paid the deposit amount of $1,320.00 via the Venmo App to take down and replace the 2nd floor wood balcony deck at *** West Palm Beach, FL. Note that the payment of $1320.00 was the 50% deposit required by the contractor to complete the work. Although Mr. had promised to complete the deck within a few weeks, he did not initiate the work until 10/3/19 at which time he tore down the existing deck. Since that time, no additional work has occurred and the building of the deck has not even been started.
Despite numerous phone calls, texts, and emails from both myself and my husband (the last of these on Friday, 3/19/20), Mr. has not responded to our communications since 1/15/20. He gives no indication that he intends to build the new deck.

Refund At this point we expect a full and immediate refund in the amount of $1,320.00. We will need this refund to be able to hire a different contractor to complete the job. No other resolution at this time will be acceptable as this contractor can not be trusted to actually complete the job he was paid to do. Please take whatever actions are within your power to contact Mr. and assist us in efficiently resolving this matter. Thank you!
