Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Our hardwood floors have failed because M Squared did not install the proper moisture barrier We have a report from a certified floor inspector stating this M Squared has a copyM Squared refuses to repair the floors They insist that we, the customer, should pursue their subcontractor with a warranty claim But we do not have a contract with the subcontractor, and for that reason they refuse to talk with us We have no legal standing to go after the subcontractor Our warranty is from M Squared We have a contract with them But they refuse to honor their warranty and say we have to take care of it ourselves That is ridiculousM Squared had their own cabinet expert come out and look at our cabinets He said they could not be repaired and had to be replaced M Squared attempted to do this, after one year of excuses But they replaced just some of the cabinets, and now all the cabinets do not match The cabinets were pieced together from four separate orders, all of which do not match the stain of the others Now they say they can repair the original cabinets by putting on different handles Another ridiculous offer Their own guy said that could not be done The rep from the cabinet company said that could not be done Again, M Squared has done incompetent work and now refuses to honor their warranty and repair themWe don’t talk with the general manager because he just tells us a new set of excuses or another set of lies each time we do And he does not offer even remotely reasonable solutions Talking with him yields nothing It has been over a year since these problems started So it was time to file a complaint instead Regards, [redacted]
M Squared Custom Homes did the standard slope away from the foundation of the home when it was completed. The Symons did want to pay for and had us remove any additional landscaping services, including drainage from their contract because they thought it was too expensive. We advised them on several...
occasions they would need to get this done. We referred them to a vendor we use and they declined the bid. We did use a standard moisture barrior ont he floor when installed. We have repeatedly offered to assist the Symons with any warranty claims against the floor products but they refuse to talk to our General Manager. We have met with their attorney and ours but they refuse to set up mediation per their contract. They refuse all offers of assistance except to give them a rather check. We have offered solutions for the cabinets they mention but again, they refuse to discuss. We will not be handing over a check for 60K to a customer that simply believes they are entitled to it. We will be glad to offer assistance any way we can that is reasonable and holds the responsible parties accountable. Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because: p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica; -webkit-text-stroke: #000000} span.s1 {font-kerning: none} 1. Our hardwood floors have failed because M Squared did not install the proper moisture barrier. We have a report from a certified floor inspector stating this. M Squared has a copy.2. M Squared refuses to repair the floors. They insist that we, the customer, should pursue their subcontractor with a warranty claim. But we do not have a contract with the subcontractor, and for that reason they refuse to talk with us. We have no legal standing to go after the subcontractor. Our warranty is from M Squared. We have a contract with them. But they refuse to honor their warranty and say we have to take care of it ourselves. That is ridiculous.3. M Squared had their own cabinet expert come out and look at our cabinets. He said they could not be repaired and had to be replaced. M Squared attempted to do this, after one year of excuses. But they replaced just some of the cabinets, and now all the cabinets do not match. The cabinets were pieced together from four separate orders, all of which do not match the stain of the others. Now they say they can repair the original cabinets by putting on different handles. Another ridiculous offer. Their own guy said that could not be done. The rep from the cabinet company said that could not be done. Again, M Squared has done incompetent work and now refuses to honor their warranty and repair them.4. We don’t talk with the general manager because he just tells us a new set of excuses or another set of lies each time we do. And he does not offer even remotely reasonable solutions. Talking with him yields nothing. It has been over a year since these problems started. So it was time to file a complaint instead.
