This is a response to the above matterFirst of all, price given for the job was lower than should be for the big job in question.The price given was $7,The customer originally stated that the house will be empty so the job can
be performed in timely matterFirst hurdle came when wall paper needed to be taken off the walls.The customer informed MVM that original wallpaper is years oldTo make the matter worse,the previous workers didn't apply primer before putting wall paper on the wallsTherefore, taking off wall paper took longer than anticipated, walls were damaged underneath the wallpaper and needed to be fixed first before proceeding with next stepThis was in the master bedroomThen the customer agreed to up the price of the job a littleThen another hurdle came with middle hallway-again the same situation with wallpaper as with master bedroomAll this was time consuming and the workers who were helping had to be paid regardless, and material had to be bought-paint, etcMeanwhile the customer decided that she wants to start moving in her furniture and was pressuring for job to be hurriedMeanwhile because of such stress job was taking longer-customer brought in the cleaning crew, floor crew was installing new floors-painting had to be worked around all those interruptionsWhen we agreed for new price we continued the jobSo the following was done: second floor-bedrooms were finished-including walls of the bedrooms/ceilings, also that includes closets, woodwork/doors.Then the big-middle hallway was finished-woodwork and paintingCompletion of living room -ceilings were feet tall, with wood beams on the ceilingThe option was given to finish the job for a greater price and she declined the offerThe bottom line is that the offer was declined at a greater price due to the circumstances that came about during the time of work at the homeThere was also an option given to the homeowner that the the job will be resumed at a later time because the contractor had other jobs he needed to attend to at the same timeThe home the homeowner was spoken to and and told by MVM that they would resume in a two weeks time which MVM never got a responseThe bottom line is the job completed was equal to the amount payed to MVM

Here's the truthful version of the "bottom line":
AThe painter walked out on the contract
BThe estimate was estimated by the painter himself, so he is obliged to honor his own estimate
CThe painter did not perform 65% of the total painting job, even though he was paid 65% of his fee, so he currently owes us money
DThe painter maliciously neglected to mention that he did ask for additional funds, upon which we agreed to increase his fee by 20% (he was paid an extra 1,500$)
EThe painter maliciously neglected to mention that he did constantly whine about doing his job, upon which we agreed to omit painting the basement, despite our original contract
FThe painter maliciously neglected to mention that he was late finishing the bedrooms, upon which we had to move the furniture in after we incurred 500$ in extra storage fees
BASICALLY, THE PAINTER TOOK THE MONEY AND DIDN'T FINISH THE JOBTHIS IS A COPY OF THE CONTRACT
