M2 Lease Funds

I have a dispute over $15k (which is the total year leased amount that I was made to pay) even though I paid off the leases within months. There is no mention of early payoff penalties at all within the contracts.When I spoke with both companies I was told there is nothing they can do, and
will not reimburse me the $15k

Dear [redacted] – We are in receipt of a letter from you regarding this case ID. We have never had a customer complain previously since opening in 1998, so I was hoping to have a short conversation with you as to what we need to do next. Please know we have had multiple conversations with this customer to explain the situation to them. In a nutshell – and I’m happy to go over this situation in greater detail, if you would like – we are an equipment leasing company. The customer opened 3 different leases with our firm from 9/2015 to 12/2015. Then in late 12/2015, she paid them all off with a different loan from her bank. As you may know the payoff of a lease contract is determined by simply adding up the remaining rental payments. We provided the customer with these figures… and in fact, we discount the remaining payments at 3% per annum & we do not charge any kind of additional pre-payment penalty. The customer paid off these contracts on 12/29/15. Then starting in late March she began calling to dispute the payoff figures. She seems to feel there was a penalty added since the payoff amounts were in excess of the original amount borrowed. Again, remember the payoff of lease is determined by simply adding up the remaining rental payments. The customer seems to feel they are entitled to a refund of the difference of the amount borrowed and the payoff figures. However, the lease payoffs were done according to our contract provisions. The term of the leases was for 4 years and as such are designed to allow the customer the ability to spread the repayment of the contract over that term. Leases such as this are not designed to be used for short term financing (0-3 months) as the customer did in this case… in fact, 1 of the 3 leases was paid off before the first rental payment was remitted. If you would be able to contact me to let me know what we need to do next with regard to this case ID with the Revdex.com, I would appreciate the guidance. Thank you in advance for your time.Brian Brian [redacted]m2 Lease Funds LLC[redacted]
