Review: My car was vandalized while at Maaco. They acted like nothing happened to evade paying for theft of materials and damage to my car. Subpar paint job.

I talked to [redacted] who agreed to spray paint my car & remove dents for a "student discount" of $400. He said my car could be done in 2 days, with a max of 3. They kept my car for the entire week without calling.I called that week and they told me my car would be done by the Tues after Labor Day. I called that Tues, they said my car was not ready and they'd call me back, but didn't. I called many times, alerting them that their customer service was terrible. We continued to play phone tag, where I call, and they say they'd call back, or that my car was about to be painted and would be ready soon.

I asked Maaco to pick me up to assess my car. I felt they were stalling by saying they'd pick me up near closing,so I told an employee there named [redacted] that I'd come in that day to see if any work was even done on my car since they kept lying to me about my car "about to be painted" when I'd call. Upon saying this,[redacted] told me the chip in my car key that starts the car stopped working, & that caused a delay in doing work on my car, & they had to order a new key for my car which cost $80, which they would not charge me for.

When I first came in,I was shown my car, which was just painted, wet, and had covers over the windows, windshield, and back window. They said it'd take 45 minutes for the paint to dry,& an additional 20-25 minutes for my interior to be "detailed." After waiting approx 2 hours, or more for what should have been only an hour of work,[redacted] said the car was finished. I then signed my debit slip,& was to sign a piece of paper stating I was satisfied with the work. I stated that I wanted to see the full finished product before I signed the satisfied statement. When I sat in my car, first things I noticed were that items from my previously locked glove compartment were in the back seat.Glove compartment looked oddly ajar. When I opened it,the glove compartment box door fell completely off. I was furious! I also noticed that the emergency light button was missing, navigation and phone charger that were locked in there were missing. My remote control to my 10 CD changer was missing. The front console appeared to have been ripped off and replaced very slip shoddily. A few areas in my car were cleaned, like the windows, but everywhere else was covered in dust. All previous dents were still there, with the addition of 2 new dents in my back passenger side trim,my car emblem was not initially present, and when I stated this, my painted over previously silver emblem was put on. My car hitch was reinstalled upside down!

Overall,my car was obviously vandalized, and when I approached [redacted] about my concerns, he stated that who knew if I even brought my car there in that condition, and who knew if the items that I reported missing were even in my car to begin with. He was obviously playing dumb so as to not accept liability.

On Fri, was told to wait for the owner [redacted] to come in on Sat to discuss my issues with him. I left Maaco after calling police,& immed noticed my signalers did not work, and then came right back. I complained, and was told to move my car for another car that needed to be placed in the facility. The next day, additional issues I discovered were that my AC and other air control buttons did not work, nor my clock, or the back light on my odometer.I also noticed that my paneling under my steering wheel looked like it was ripped off and shoddily replaced. My indoor trunk locking mechanism appeared to be pulled out. The passenger side back door inner handle was cracked, and other areas of exposed wiring.

When I asked [redacted] for my old key, he gave me a broken key that WAS NOT the original one I gave him.

Maaco only wanted to reimburse me for the navigation, phone charger & glove comp door, but not ALL the other above mentioned damage,so I could not accept that offer. Met with my insurance adjuster who found KEY evidence of a break in. Maaco does not want to pay for my deductible & missing items.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund or enough funds to pay my insurance deductible, plus the cost of buying a new [redacted] emblem to make up for the one Maaco spray painted black, and getting a replacement navigation system and phone charger. I also want an apology for what was an OBVIOUS break-in to my vehicle, under Maaco's watch, which Maaco wrongfully attempted to cover-up to evade paying for full cost of damages.

Review: I DROPPED MY VEHICLE OFF ON JUNE 30, 2014, TO MAACO IN [redacted]. THE FACILITY PAINTED MY CAR PREVIOUSLY AND I REQUESTED THAT THEY RE-PAINT THE GRILLE AND THE MIRRORS AS THEY WERE PEELING. I ALO REQUESTED THEY PAINT THE CHROME PARTS ON MY 22 INCH WHEELS TO MATCH THE VEHICLE. AS OF TODAY JULY 29, 2014, ALMOST 30 DAYS LATER. I STILL HAVE NOT RECIEVED MY VEHICLE. I CALLED WEEKLY AND SPOKE WITH [redacted] THE ASSISTANT MANAGER TO ASCERTAIN WHEN MY VEHICLE WOULD BE COMPLETED AND I WAS INFORMED THAT IT WOULD BE DONE WITHIN THE WEEK. I HAVE BEEN GIVEN SEVERAL EXCUSES WHY MY VEHICLE ISN'T PAINTED AND RETURNED TO ME. FOR EX: 1 THE PAINT IS NOT TAKING TO THE VEHICLE 2. THE PRIMER TO PAINT THE CHROME, NEEDED TO BE ORDERED FROM THE PAINT COMPANY DIRECTLY. 3. THE PRIMER FOR THE CHROME TAKES 72HOURS TO CURE. ON JULY 26, 2014, VIA TEXT I WAS INFORMED BY [redacted] THE ASSISTANT MANAGER THAT THE CAR WAS IN THE PAINT BOOTH AND HE WOULD CALL ME WHEN IT WAS READY. HE DID NOT FOLLOW THROUGH. ON JULY 28, 2014,I WENT TO THE FACILITY AND [redacted] THE ASSISTANT MANAGER INFORMED ME THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PAINTED AND THAT IT WOULD BE DETAILED AND THAT HE WOULD PERSONALLY DELIVER THE VEHICLE TO ME AT MY HOME LATER THAT EVENING. [redacted] THE ASSISTANT MANAGER AGAIN DIDN'T FOLLOW THROUGH OR CALL ME TO INFORM ME THAT HE WOULDN'T BE BRINGING ME MY VEHICLE. ON JULY 29, 2014, I WENT TO THE FACILITY AGAIN AND DEMANDED TO SEE MY VEHICLE, THE VEHICLE WAS LOCATED IN THE BACK LOT OF THE FACILITY WITH DUST ALL OVER IT. THE GRILLE AND MIRROR COVERS WERE REMOVED AND PLACED INSIDE MY VEHICLE ON MY LEATHER SEATS. MAACO DIDN'T PUT DOWN ANYTHING TO PROTECT MY LEATHER OR MY CAR MATS FROM THE DUST AND DEBRIS IN THE SHOP OR WORKERS WHO WERE COMING IN AND OUT OF THE VEHICLE. THERE WAS NO WORK DONE TO THE VEHICLE. [redacted] THE ASSISTANT MANAGER HAD BEEN BLATANTLY LYING TO ME ABOUT THE WORK THAT HAD BEEN COMPLETED ON MY VEHICLE. [redacted] THE ASSISTANT MANAGER AGAIN PROMISED ME THAT HE WOULD HAVE MY VEHICLE DONE BY TOMORROW. JULY 30, 2014 I DOUBT IT WILL BEDesired Settlement: I WANT MY VEHICLE PAINTED FOR FREE AND MY EXPENSES COVERED FOR THE RENTAL CARS THAT I HAD TO USE FOR THE MONTH DUE TO MAACO'S LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM AND BLATANT LYING.

Review: I brought my vehicle to be painted to this business last year. Since that time the truck has been repainted 4 times with never ending issues. Currently the vehicle is at their facility, they called me this tuesday to tell me the truck is done and ready to be picked up. I go there to pick it up on wednesday after calling several times throughout the day to arrange a pickup and no one could answer the phone. I get there and the paint job is terrible, The drivers door has a rough area of paint that is completely unacceptable and now the hood has scratches and paint chips in the paint that were not there previously and the hood was obviously repainted. I have spoken to the owner tony prior to this visit and he has been wonderful to deal with, Now it seems he is not there and cant seem to get ahold of anyone to resolve my issue.Desired Settlement: All I want is the truck to have the paint job that I was promised, I just need to hear from someone telling me how this will be resolved. I will also accept a refund if it comes to that.

Review: in January 12 2016 I drooped my car on maaco paint Hamden, CT they had my car for a week when I pick up the car and I notice the paint had drips never fix my scratch or dent and painted over rusty areas. they guy said to bring the car in 2 weeks because the paint was still fresh, the day was cloudy SO I didn't get to see all the details 2 days later the day was sunny I wash my car and I notice they painted the wrong color I ask for black they painted charcoal black started seeing more details like my rims had white spot from the primer rust was coming out of the paint, dents scratches were still there and even more paint drips. I took a week vacation to bring the car in and get it fix and all he did on a week was removed the paint spots from only 1 of my rims and the rest of the car was still the same. SO I called maaco corporate they claim I said OEM color that I didn't ask or any dent removing and rust repair they said they will give me a discount price on another paint job SO I have to pay for a mistake and the crappy job they did.Desired Settlement: all I want is for them to fix all my rims and paint the car BLACK

Review: I brought my [redacted] in for repair last month - this job was only supposed to take about 5 days, my car was in the shop for a month and a week. Upon picking up my vehicle, I noticed the front and back bumpers were replaced but were a completely different color than my original color. Not only that - there were items missing from my car. A bluetooth receiver, the change in my middle counsel as well as a [redacted] wallet. I have been in touch with the Manager ([redacted]) as well as the supervisor ([redacted]) and have visited and provided receipt for my items. with the promise to take care of it. It has been almost a month and they keep giving me the run around - I filed a police report as well as reached out to Maaco customer service via email. Something needs to be done, according to police, this happens at this location all the time. I was considering getting a paint job done here next year but that will not happen!!! Something needs to be done to these thieves!Desired Settlement: Compensation for my missing items

Review: During early July I received newly purchased fairings for my [redacted] but was unhappy with the color scheme on the new fairings. After considering my options I stopped at Maaco in Hamden, CT with the fairings to determine if they would be able to match one of the colors or repaint the fairings a new color. I spoke with [redacted] who stated that they may be able to match the color. On July 10, 2013, I dropped off fairings at Maaco in Hamden, CT. I called the following Thurs & was told color match was accurate & they would be painted. Called numerous times for update, almost daily, I was always told I would receive a call back which never happened. Called and arranged to drop off the gas tank. Dropped off tank on July 22 & asked for price quote etc, told I would be called but never received a call. Stopped in to confirm price/pick up date on July 25 or take back parts & was told by [redacted] they would be ready July 31, price $615. I called on Aug 1 & told I would receive a call back, never called. I called on Aug 2 & told it would be ready Aug 5. I called on Aug 5 & told I would be called back, no call so I stopped in & was told it would be ready the next day. Aug 6 I received my 1st call ever from [redacted] stating it would be ready for pickup Aug 7 morning; it would be bubble wrapped & ready to go. When I asked what time I could stop by I was told I would be called. I received a call on Aug 7 from [redacted] stating that it was almost ready for pick up & being finished up; was told I would be called back but received no calls that day or the following. I called the corporate office which was unhelpful. Finally on Aug 15 I went in & requested my parts, [redacted] tried to get me to leave but I refused. He ended up charging me $200 for 4 partially primed parts the other two had no work done. That Friday I dropped off my parts to a reputable auto shop, one that is recommended by [redacted], who called me the following Tuesday to pick up my finished parts. They charged me $600 and took 3 days.Desired Settlement: I feel that a refund is more than fair considering the facts. They charged me $200 for 4 primed pieces after having my parts for over 5 weeks. I have pics. If I was told it would take that long then that would be fair but I wasn't I was constantly lied to and deceived. Since it was a motorcycle and they had my gas tank I was unable to ride it for most of the summer while still paying insurance, etc. Businesses need to be held accountable in some way. This business is like a criminal group.

Review: Had my vehicle painted by Maaco last year. The job was done so poorly that I had to make a complaint first to corporate, then to Revdex.com to have it redone. The paint job was redone to some satisfaction, at least better than the initial job but now a year later the paint job is proving to be insufficient with quality standards. The paint has since started to show signs of bubbling and cracking causing peeling.

Now a resident of ** and no longer living in CT I brought my vehicle to the local Maaco here with a desire to utilize my warranty and have the paint job done over. I was made aware that since the Maaco in CT holds the warranty they would be responsible for deciding if they desire to pay the ** Maaco to do the job over or I am left with the option to bring my car all the way back to Maaco CT to have it repainted for a third time.

Considering that they did an unsatisfactory job the first two times I would prefer not to have to deal with them ever again.

The problem is that I have made numerous attempts to contact the Owner Tony At the Hamden Ct Maaco location and after three weeks I have not heard from him yet.

I took it upon myself to contact the Maaco corporate office to wedge a complaint and waited for a response and as of yet have not received one.

Meanwhile the weather is changing and with already existing cracks and peeling I only expect the paint job is going to worsen.

I am seeking an immediate response from Maaco and I know you can not force CT Maaco to grant warrenty coverage here in ** I would prefer that as a resolution. If

CT has to redo the paint job I want it done from scratch. I do not want more paint applies on top of an already poor job as I believe this to be the problem in the first place. In addition, I do not want to be inconvenienced with having to drive all the way to CT to wait for a job to be done on my vehicle as I have children, work and responsibilities here in ** to tend to.

CT Maaco has failed to respond to my inquiries and desires to resolve this issue and has left me in limbo waiting for a response.Desired Settlement: I wish for CT Maaco to allow my warranty to be honored here in ** as to not further inconvenience me with yet another poor job. They already had two chances to do the repairs on the vehicle and failed to do a satisfactory job. My warranty guarentees my paint job for atleast five years so it is not a question of whether or not they owe me a new paint job. The problem is that I do not want CT Maaco to touch my car ever again. I live in ** now and would prefer that the work be done here and by someone else with hopes of getting the job done right finally.

Review: I had a 2001 [redacted] painted by Maaco of [redacted]. They had the vehicle for 6 weeks they had to paint it twice due to poor quality. I attempted to work out issues with owner but not any satifaction . The final product is horrible buff burn marks in paint runs in paint. from the beginning I stated to owner I wanted a perfect paint job. but what I got was a hack job.. he agreed to fix it and again to to satisfaction again it looks like a patch job . The shop was paid for the job and I put trust that they would make things right but I was wrong.Desired Settlement: I want the shop to stand behind thier work. I would like a finished product that I can be proud of to drive. Please if you can help me on this matter. Maaco corporate customer relation director has been contacted

Review: The car needed a tailight replaced and some painting done. After the work was done ther were drips in the paint, massive amounts of overspray, an improperly blended area and a black mark in my bumper that wasen't there before. The inside of the vehicle was very dirty and muddy. Once the car was inspected by myself and my husband, all the issues were pointed out to the manager. He promised to fix all the problems and to make everything "right". That did not happen. After the car was dropped off again, all the prior issues were still there except for the incorectly blended area. I called cooperate and filed a complaint with someone named [redacted] at the S Carolina office. She told me she would get back to me within 24 hrs of my complaint. That was on Tues, 5/7, and I haven't heard a thing since. I then had to spend 375.00 to properly detail the car.

Account_Number: [redacted]

Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund

all I'm asking for is my money back(to incl the detailing cost) less the tailight expense

Review: On March 4, 2013(Monday), I took my truck to the Maaco in Hamden, Ct to get a $2100.00 full paint job. I was told by Tony that it would be painted in three to four days. On the fourth day I called Maaco to see if my truck was done and ready for me to pick up. I was told it would be done the next day. It never was ready for me until after two weeks later. Not once did they ever call me to give me an update as I had to scramble to get a rental car. When I did get my truck back I had a very bad paint job. There was a hand print on my door, spots were missed and not painted. My bug deflector was broken and not replaced and all the old trim was thrown in my truck on the floor instead of being thrown away like I asked. The air deflectors on the doors were never removed and now I have a two tone paint job on both doors. I have emailed and called Maaco Headquarters with no concern or response back. The customer service is horrible, the paint job was bad and no one showed any concern for the customer. Where is your costumer service, quality assurance and commitment to your high standards?

Product_Or_Service: Full paint job

Account_Number: Repair order 6798

Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund

Since you will not return any of my calls nor repaint my truck nor replace my bug deflector I want a refund.

Review: I had gotten into an accident on April 10, 2014. The company Maaco located Hamden CT was in charged of fixing my vehicle after the accident. They painted my vehicle silver and it does not match the same color of my vehicle. They also painted part of my black grill silver when it should not have been partially panted. The grill should be black and now has two different colors. They kept my vehicle for 3 1/2 weeks instead of the 3 days they were suppose to have kept it. Maaco did not installed my bumper correctly. Part of my bumper is now falling apart. They did not put the screws in and still refused when my insurance paid for it. They also did my alignment on my vehicle and less than a month later I had to get it done once again because it is off balanced. I contacted Maaco for the problem and they continue giving me the run around. It has been so many things they have done wrong with my vehicle which I am now having to replace it in my own expense. Upon picking up my vehicle from maaco I had to bring it back 2 minutes later and told them I was hearing noises which were not there prior to the accident. They waited until I returned the rental to tell me I should leave the vehicle there for them to fix the problem. A problem which they originally said they had fixed. I continue going back for 4 weeks and called everyday but they continue giving me the run around. Even while taking my vehicle to the other shop a more qualified shop I called Maaco and informed them I have the paperwork stating they did not do the job which they were paid to do. What Maaco did was unacceptable and they should have to pay for what they did and how they treated me as a customer. Something needs to be done so this doesn't happen to another woman or person out in the world who works very hard to live and now having to pay double for the job she has already paid for. Maaco should be talked to and fined for their lack of work. I have 3 small children which one is a disabled child with special needs. I need you to help me.Desired Settlement: I want them to refund me for the paint job which has been already paid to them. I also want them to refund me the alignment which they were paid for and the job wasn't done all the way. I had to pay for the alignment. I also want them to pay for the mistake they did in painting part of my grill in front of my vehicle and damaged it. It is now black and gray when it's not suppose to be painted or partially painted. I feel they should be responsible to refund the damages cause by them.

Review: I went to Macco with a scratched bumper on a 2014 maxima asking for a quote to paint the bumper. I was promised the car would look like new and the bumper would be completely primed, painted, and clear coated. The result was a price double that of the quote, an improper fit to the bumper and tail lights one of which they only admitted to breaking after I pointed it out . Per [redacted] the work is not of proper quality an won't meet the turn in standards of my lease. The shop admits to only spot painting bumper. On another note the garage is filthy the workers walk around covered in paint getting in an out of cars, horrible experience, not a place a new vehicle should be near.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund and the broken tail light so I can bring the car to [redacted] to get fixed correctly. My new car is worse off then when I brought it to Macco and needs to be fixed correctly.
