Yes once I took my vehicle to get an estimate I was told that it would cost and I approved it.Once my vehicle was in the shop I received a phone call stating that there were other problems and, that they would call back on how much it would beI never received a phone call.I called back two days later and Dave picked up and told me that he'd call me right backI waited a few more hours he never called back so then I called backSomebody else picked it up and told me that it went from to I brought my car to Maaco to get body work done so that the whining noise would be rectifiedInstead of them rectifying the noise they took the initiative without my consent and performed other works on my vehicleWhen I got my vehicle backIt still drove the same way and made the whining noise , as if nothing was even doneHowever I took my vehicle to another shop who did rectify the problem, but had to some of the other works that was performed by Maaco overbecause of the initial noise problem that wasn't never rectify by MaacoI want to be refunded my money because Maaco didn't rectify that particular problem, I had to spend an additional $more to have this problem taking care of
Regards,

THIS VEHICLE HAD MUTIPLE PROBLEMS WHEN IT WAS BROUGHT TO MAACO. THE CUSTOMER HAD STATED THEY JUST BOUGHT THE CAR AND IT WAS MAKING THIS NOISE.  AS STATED IN THEIR COMPLAINT, THE LEFT REAR WHEEL WAS SITTING CROOKED DUE TO A PRIOR INCIDENT AS THE CUSTOMER BOUGHT THIS CAR AT THE AUCTION....

MAACO GAME A ESTIMATE AND WHEN THE CAR WAS TORE APART, WE REALIZED THERE WAS MORE DAMAGE.  MAACO ADVISED THE CUSTOMER WHAT SOME OF THE PROBLEMS WERE. AFTER THE CAR WAS PUT TOGETHER THE NOISE WAS STILL THERE BUT THE CAR WAS NOW SAFE TO DRIVE BASED ON THE WHEEL BEARING AND HUB BEING REPLACED AND NO BRAKE PADS ON REAR WHEN BROUGHT IN. MAACO HAD THEN TAKEN THE CAR TO A MECHANICAL GARAGE TO ASSESS THE NOISE AND TOLD THE CUSTOMER THE REAR TRANSFER CASE IS NOW THE CAUSE OF THE NOISE AND IT CAN BE A PROBLEM WITH THESE VEHICLES.  MAACO HAD REPLACED THE PARTS NECCESARY TO BE SAFE AND ABLE TO DRIVE AND PARTS AS STATED ON PAPERWORK AT A DISCOUNTED RATE BUT CAN NOT REFUND MONEY FOR PARTS THAT ARE ON THE CAR AND WERE NEEDED AS PER THE ORIG. ESTIMATE. THANKS

In response to to allegation of events that took place [redacted] had his car repaired per insurance and in addition the rest of his car was painted for no additional cost, The only money requested by maaco was the deductable that he had established with his insurance policy. Maaco had repaired...

the car as per the insurance company and yes the process was held up due to insurance company prolonging repairs for authorization but that is not Maaeo's responsibly or their liability to cover rentals. Each customer has that option with his or her insurance company to elect that service. The service for the overall paint he received was $800 and no additional money was asked from **. [redacted] to refinish his car. This service may have taken some time but he ended up with a lot of additional repairs at no cost to him and only his deductable due. Thanks

Review: I went to Maaco to have a paint job done on my 2003 [redacted] truck,

I was told by [redacted] the manager that to bring my truck in on Monday or Tuesday and it would be returned by friday and this is after he done the walk around to see what I needed done to the truck, and at the time they (Maaco) had a sale 299.00.

they got the truck on Tuesday 05/06/2014 and friday we didnt hear from Maaco or [redacted] so I called friday around 2-3pm. [redacted] stated we just getting the primar on and you will have it Monday. Monday came and no truck not evan a call from Maaco or [redacted] so I called and he informed me that the truck will be ready Tuesday. so Tuesday afternnon [redacted] calls to say well the paint job on the hood im not satisfied with that so Ill going to paint it myself and have it ready for you Wednesday. Well Wednesday came and [redacted] called me at 2:00pm and let me know my truck is ready and how I had to be there no later than 4pm becasue that what time they start pulling in all the vehicles... I will be there [redacted]...

so at first it look shiny nothing else, (from a distance) and over looked that fact that everyone that was parted on that same side was on the street mine was half on the side walk and in the street.

so we started looking around to inspect the truck, right away there was about 50 little dings ( like someone came alone while drying the vehicle just put pin holes in the paint) than there is dry running paint by the mirror, where the sun roof is there is dried on either wax in a clump or its the shine either way its there...the wax or shine around the door frame is ruff feeling. I understand we didnt pay for the door jams but when I showed [redacted] the passsenger side rear door (inside) that there was like an area that was repaired he informed me he will take care of that part... (well if he paint one part of a door on one side why not do the whole thing) which he did...

Also the person the put my car on the sidewalk had the nerve to get into my truck with mud on there shoes.Desired Settlement: finish the job or refund a portion of my money....

Review: We discussed and agreed upon specific paint work that was to include the inside lip of the trunk, gas door and hood. The front edge of the hood turned out rough as well as the flip up headlight doors. Runs of paint were left on rubber parts that were not supposed to be painted. Dust is in the paint on all the horizontal surfaces. We discussed the paint being free of dust, in advance. I removed the marker lights, headlight bulbs, tail lights, emblems and things that they would normally have to tape around, to result in a better job. The car is small, only 12 feet long and is a convertible so there is also no top to paint. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle, I discovered all of these issues and expressed my dissatisfaction that all of the things we discussed and agreed upon were not done or not done correctly. The manager and I had looked at the car and agreed that the price to do the work was going to be $600. The work was not done as it was agreed upon in advance. When I met with the manager after the car was painted and discovered that it had not been done as discussed, he made no offer to correct the problems and I was told that I got a $600 job and that I should pay for and take my car and leave.Desired Settlement: I have already finished some of the paint work that was expected and agreed upon. The remaining issues will decrease the value of this car which is for sale. A refund of $300 is fair considering that I will probably get $300 less for the car with the paint job as it is now, compared to what we agreed upon.

[redacted] BROUGTH A MIATA FOR REPAIRS AND DECIDED HE ONLY HAD A BUDGET OF $600 DOLLARS. HE USED HIS SON-IN-LAWS DEALERSHIP TO ACHIEVE THE BEST DISCOUNTS AND STILL ASKED FOR MORE WORK TO BE DONE. THE CAR WAS REPAIRED AND PAINTED ABOVE AND BEYOND THE SERVICES REQUESTED AND [redacted] EXPECTATIONS WERE STILL NOT MET. AT THIS POINT WE CAN NOT CONTINUE TO DO MORE REPAIRS FOR FREE TO THE CAR UNLESS HE WOULD WANT TO PAY FOR REPAIRS.

Review: I entrusted Maaco in [redacted], PA to do some work on the bumper of my 2012 [redacted] on 5/6/2014. Upon picking up my vehicle on 6/8/2014, I noticed that they didn't complete the job. Giving that I needed my car for the weekend, I paid for the work and the shop and I arranged for me to drop my car off on the following Monday , 5/12/2014, to complete the job. I picked my car up on 5/14/2014. During a quick inspection, the car was dusty but the bumper job looked like it was done well.

A few days later, I went to the car wash and was perplexed by this haze over majority of my car paint, which wasn't there before. The absence of these stains prior to putting the car in the shop was confirmed by the pictures taken for my insurance claim and pictures I took prior giving my car to Maaco. I initially assumed it was due to my car being under the tree and maybe I needed a more detailed car wash. I arranged an appointment with a detailing shop to get a quote to detail my car. On 5/25/2014, I went to the detailing shop. When I showed the gentleman my car, without any knowledge of my car having body work done, he immediately said it looks like over spray. Upon further inspection, his suspicion was confirmed by tape lines and an attempt to see if it can be removed with clay. He also pointed out that there was paint around the rim of the fog lights, and a little bit of paint on the grill and the driver side headlight. He gave me a quote of approximately $800 to completely remove the over spray and the paint from the lights and grill.

After leaving the detailing shop, I looked closer at my car. In addition to the findings above, I noticed that the parts of my radiator that could be seen through the air holes in the bumper were covered with paint. In an attempt to resolve the matter with the shop directly, I decided to call Maaco in [redacted].

On the morning of 5/27/2014, I called Maaco in [redacted] and spoke to the manager Dave about the issue. He told me to bring the car into the shop so that he can inspect it, which I did that morning. After inspecting the car and noting the problems I listed above, he informed me to bring the car in the next morning and everything would be taken care of. When asked when the car would be ready Dave said he couldn't say. I turned the car over to the Maaco shop on 5/28/2014 and received a phone message in the evening of 5/30/2014 confirming they were done. The shop was closed by the time I heard the message, and I returned their call on 5/31/2014. I spoke to another manager at the shop, RJ, and he confirmed the car was ready. I ask if he had an opportunity to look at the car given that this was my third time back to the shop. He reassured me that the "entire" car was buffed and ready. I wasn't able to get to the car on that Saturday, and we arranged for me to get the car on Monday morning, 6/2/2014.

I went to pick my car up on 6/2/2014. I immediately noticed that there was still over spray on the car, the paint had not been removed from the lights, and white compound was everywhere. In addition, they attempted to spray over the initial paint on my radiator and spray painted the front bumper black. I pointed out the new finding and and the old things that weren't corrected to JR, and he asked that I leave the car again, which I did.

Today, 6/4/2014, I picked up the car. The night before I had trouble sleeping afraid of what I might see when I arrived. They repainted most of the bumper, but their are still spots that they missed. There is still overs pray on the car. The white compound is still all over the place, and there is still paint on my lights. Though the managers were polite and put in a genuine effort to resolve the issue, the shop consistently failed to deliver in the category of craftsmanship.Desired Settlement: After providing them with four chances to correct their mistakes, I am no longer confident in their ability to do so. Not only has this been a major inconvenience, but my car has also been devalued in the process. Because of this, I plan to take my car to a different shop to be corrected, and I desire that Maaco of [redacted] pay for the repairs caused by damage done in their shop.

Hello [redacted],

Review: My sister dropped my car off at maaco on 3/17/2014 with a note stating my car finance company has a $1300 check and they need to fax the finally bill to them so they can send that check to Maaco next day( I also explained this to [redacted] on the phone). A guy name [redacted] at the front desk said it would take 1 week to finish everything( I had small damage to my front driver side head light). The light was hit by another and a lot of paint was damage on my car in the front, so I told them to fix the light and to paint the full car [redacted] said 1 week. At the end of the first week I never received a phone about my car so I called and [redacted] said after the taken it apart they needed to make an supplement so I said ok it would need to go through my insurance. [redacted] said this would hold everything up because the claim person would have to come back out. I said ok but I need my car asap. Week 2- I call Tuesday [redacted] said the claim guy came out but he has to wait for approval before they move on. I told [redacted] I would pay for the supplement if its disapproved because I need my can he said they have to wait so I told I don't want a full paint job becasue its taken to long just do a touch up paint job. week 3 - [redacted] has the approval of supplement they can have the work done by Wednesday so I said since you have my car for this long go ahead and do the full body paint job only if they can have it done by this week. [redacted] said ok. I called back the end of this week on Friday to see if its done, [redacted] said they messed the paint job up and he told them to redo it. Me and my girlfriend ([redacted]) went in to see what was going on that Saturday because now I have to find another way to get around without a car because of MAACO mistake. I ask [redacted] to ask his manager if I still have to pay the remainder of the cost $249 that I owe, since I have to find transportation to get to work and school. [redacted] said he would ask he's manager and that the car should be done on Monday. Week 4 No phone call from maaco so I called them early on Monday. [redacted] answer what up Carl???? I'm fustrated because I'm calling about my car and that's how you answer me, so I say whats the status again with my car? [redacted] say I'm just getting started I'll call you back and let you know, I ask him what happen with the manager and my request [redacted] said the manager said no he's not going to do any price reduction. I as [redacted] is he in yet and he said no but I'll have him call you before he leaves, ok. I waiting until 4pm no phone call back so I call and ask [redacted] is the manager in? [redacted] say he's gone for the day.....I ask well when will my car be done now it's supposed to be done Wednesday the 9th....Desired Settlement: None
