discussing the match Mr*** said he needed and expected and exact match since he wanted to take his car to a car showI pulled the oem (original equipment manufacturer) paint chips to show Mr*** that there were different alternates to his color and that none of the matched his redThis could be because the sun and faded the original color, the oem paint nevered matched the alternatesI was hopeful that he would understand that just giving us the paint code was not enough information to have an exact match, especially not having the car presentThe painter came out and verified that he would need to mix the paint, spray it out and compare it to the carHe may need to repeat this process several times to achieve and acceptable color matchEach Spray out would need mixing time, spray the color, dry the color, spray the clear-coat, dry the clear coat and check it against the carThis can be very time consuming.To hopefully satisfy Mr*** I did offer to repaint the parts under the following conditions.1) He would need to leave the car, needed for the color2) He would pay $for just the materials and we would supply all the labor at no charge.3) He would pay $65.00--labor hour for the painter timeThis is what we offeredWe never heard from Mr*** until your letter arrived.We did match the color the best we could with the information we had.We were not trying to be rude and since I am the owner of the business I know I was not trying to be rudeI still offer Mr*** what I offered beforeThe price to repaint his bumper would be $

Review: I was unsure of where I would of liked to get my car bumper painted. I am very passionate about my car and want the best service I can find. I decided to go to Maaco. They told me they would paint my car bumper to match my car color. A week later, I went to pick up my bumper and the paint clearly did not match. The lady stated that I did not leave my car so they could of not matched the paint, however, the day I dropped off the car, she told me to give her my car color code. She was very rude about the situation. She said she could charge me another $200 to try and match the color in a loud, unprofessional tone. This defeats the whole purpose of me even having my car bumper painted the first time if it was not going to match.I am aware that the color would not be the same exact color due to my body color aging, however she had the painter come out and even he said he could tell the colors did not match. I am beyond upset because they could of told me to leave my car the first time. While I was waiting to speak to the manager, even another customer was talking to me about their rude service. I would not recommend anyone to go to Maaco, their service is rude and very unprofessional.Desired Settlement: I would like my refund back or if they can try to match the color of my bumper to the best that they can. The painter said he could mix different paint to duplicate the color to match the body. The lady however stated it would cost an extra $200 on top of the $275 I already paid for.

This could be because the sun and faded the original color, the oem paint nevered matched the alternates. I was hopeful that he would understand that just giving us the paint code was not enough information to have an exact match, especially not having the car present. The painter came out and verified that he would need to mix the paint, spray it out and compare it to the car. He may need to repeat this process several times to achieve and acceptable color match. Each Spray out would need mixing time, spray the color, dry the color, spray the clear-coat, dry the clear coat and check it against the car. This can be very time consuming.To hopefully satisfy Mr. [redacted] I did offer to repaint the parts under the following conditions.1) He would need to leave the car, needed for the color2) He would pay $100.00 for just the materials and we would supply all the labor at no charge.3) He would pay $65.00--1 labor hour for the painter timeThis is what we offered.
