HI Mrs [redacted] ***, My name is [redacted] I am the shop manager for Maaco Auto body and Collision Repair in Bakersfield, CAIn responds to the compliant issued to my shop, I strongly disagree with those complaints since it states in the original work order signed by the customer explaining that imperfections may show in the paint like the dust particles the customer was complaining aboutThose dust particles do need to be wet sanded and buffed out but imperfections like that are commend in new paint jobsAlot of places do offer cutting and buffing service on new paint job we unfortunately don't, being that my shop is a production shop not a custom shop we don't include that service on a paint jobBeing one of the reasons we are a lot cheaper then most other auto body shops that will charge $and up to paint a car because services like that are included in their priceWe don't charge that much to paint a car and one of the ways we reduce the amount the customer pays is by not charging for that service since we don't provide itFor the property missing in the customers vehicle we also mention in our work order and also tell the customer in person to remove all personal belonging from the vehicle when they drop it offSo if they fail to follow directions with the advice given to them we feel that we are not responsible for lost itemsI will be providing you with a copy of the signed work order and authorization form so you could see where it says all the mentioned statements and all the documents were signed by the customer so he must have read it before he signed them
