Paint everywhere *** also put his finger in my wife face he is very rude my car is totally messed up

We contracted with the owner of the vehicle ***. He brought in a 2003 Ford Crown Victoria that was a disaster. He had the car painted by someone outside with terrible products. The clearcoat dried and the finish looked like the texture of a basketball. I went over everything with the customer and he knew how bad his car was and how bad the previous person did the job. I explained to him that we could make it look better but far from nice. He was totally fine with that and he understood exactly what he was going to get as an end result. When he came to pick it up, *** was totally fine with the workmanship and we have a signed completion form that he inspected the vehicle and was completely satisfied with the work that was performed. I don't think he signed that when he left *** outside auto body hood garage. Mr. wife had a lot of issues with the vehicle when they came to pick it up. Unfortunately she was very uneducated at what we had contracted with her husband and became belligerent. I was at a safe social distance of 6 feet away and pointed at her and asked her to leave. The Crown Victoria looks so much better than what *** outside auto body hood garage had performed and that is exactly what we said would be the final outcome.

I dropped my car off on 6/17/2020 to have a paint job done with specifics(emblems,specs in paint job and both sets of pinstripes) I was informed that my I need to front passenger doors due to my current doors were rusted inside and out . ordered the doors and had them delivered to Maaco. I picked my car up today 07/21/2020, and was not pleased at all, there is only on set of pinstripes, scratches, creases and nicks in the paint job. Paint dripping on black areas of the vehicles, gaps in side mirror were it was not put back on correctly, also there is crack in my passenger side side mirror, my passenger side door window has two pieces missing from the top part of the actual window glass, bottom panel on both front doors are not attached completely . the rust is still on my two back doors and rust repair was on my original estimate . Not to mention old scrap chrome parts were left in the back seat of the car, the inside of my car was covered with thick paint dust. I also dropped of emblems on 06/30/2020 to be put on my car after the paint job was finished they were not put on they were still sitting in the managers office. My car was not completely done but was contacted 7/17/20 telling that my car was done it looked great and called again on 7/21/2020 to pick up my car.When I pointed out the problems at the location Manager *** response was "It's not like its a 20-30,000 restoration". When I pointed out the gap between the front passenger side panel and the bumper he also stated " I cant fix that bring me a bumper" . If I was told I needed a bumper I would've brought one just like I brought the doors there was no communication with me in regards to what other parts I may have needed just the two front passenger doors thats all.

This car is a 1986 Oldsmobile 98. We did everything that was contracted with this customer. He did bring us two emblems that we forgot to put on. He is also bringing us a part that we will paint and install and at that time we will of course put on the emblems. This was never sold as a $10,000 restoration. This customer spent $2,848 on bodywork and a complete paint job. The customer did sign off on our completion paperwork that he inspected the vehicle and was completely satisfied with the work that was performed. The money is not an issue at all. We will gladly install the customers part when he brings it in and his two emblems. Thank you, John

I signed a receipt that was presented to me as a Paid in full receipt not knowing it was a satisfactory document. My car was brought out to after I signed the paper. When the vehicle was brought out to me it was brought to me in a poorly lit garage I walked around the car and immediately not happy about the work that was done and that my emblems were not put on. I went into the business office and told John to come out and pointed out some of the problems that I'd noticed it wasn't until I got home and seen all the other scratches, dents, gaps and etc. So this more than 2 missing emblems its about poor work that I bad to have done by professionals weather I paid 2,848 or 10,000 I have over 20 pictures of scratches , dings the way my interior was left and etc but im unable to load to this format because it tells me its too large, if there is another way for me to submit photos please contact me so I can do so.

I'm sorry ***, but we did go over everything with you and your wife when you dropped off the vehicle. I have owned three Maaco shops in the last 22 years and we cover all the bases with every customer when they drop off a vehicle. You seemed that you were educated on Maaco when you brought us the vehicle. You knew that Maaco is a discount auto paint service. We not only go over all our disclaimers with every customer but we have it clearly posted in our showroom. You were a 100 percent clear on that when you dropped off. Over all the years I have seen a lot of customers that try to get money off or refunds, that is not something the franchise will offer. We will do exactly what we said we would. That is put on the two emblems you brought us and paint and install that piece by the rear bumper on the passenger side. That is it, nothing more and nothing less.

On 3/18/2020 at approxiamtely My 2013 Chevy Malibu Ltz was taken to Maaco to be repaired from an accident that damaged my rear driver side light ,bumper and any damage resulting from the impact And be painted after repairs I was given an price to fix my car and was promised and told by the owner that my car would be be fixed to the condition and to specifications pre accident on 03/23/2020 Maaco was paid in full upon delivery of above vehicle I was told if I have any problems with the repair to contact them within 5 business after delivery If any concerns about said repair on 03/24/2020 when I arrived at work I popped my trunk by remote to lock my purse inside once I tried to close trunk trunk would not close as the repairs that had been done had ceased to align the rear light flush with the vehicle on the left driver rear the light sticks out and will alow water to enter the trunk and the trunk lid now bangs up against and sits atop of the light causing it now to chip away from the trunks paint and stops trunk from closin without force I called Maaco 03/24/2020 spoke to owner who told me to bring it in and leave it with him and he’ll rectify the problem I scheduled with him to bring it in on Thursday March 26th upon arrival I was disrespected by the owner who was very sarcastic in saying you smart enough to know 98% fix is good enough and that’s all u get for what I charged the owner then went on to say I charged you for after market parts , then the owner stated if I would have told you what it really would’ve cost you to fix this you would have ran up outta here so that’s all I’m going to to do so you can take me to court because I’m not fixing it and I’m not giving you your money back so I asked to have the police called they came and they also agreed with me and said I should submit reviews on maaco and also sue for breach of contract or for failing to repair vehicle as promised this owner has done what I believe to be deceptive business with me ,has taken my money and basically admitted he wasn’t going to fix it right the first time this was a very deceptive experience and I have the entire conversation recorded of the owner stating all sarcastic statements and the refusals of warranty work or refund. And I will release the audio to be reviewed to any and all who want to hear it concerning this

After being in business for over 23 years you can see a scam coming a mile away. When the vehicle was picked up, the customer inspected the work and signed off on the completion and satisfied document the franchise provides. A week later she came in with her boyfriend who we did not contract with and he demanded all her money back. After he was explained, that was not going to happen he became very angry and belligerent. He kept cussing and cursing at us and being totally obnoxious. We asked him to leave several times and he refused. He made several threats to us that he was not afraid to take care of the situation right there. I became in fear of my safety and the safety of our employees and we finally were forced to called 911 to have the police come and remove him from the property. They are both not welcome here in any case and if they do return, the police will be called back and they said that the two of them will be arrested.
