Anywhere, they would have stayed would have been the same situation, unless you can find central AC which is rare to find in condo rentals on Maui. Guest made this booking directly with the owner and has all owner contact information but never contacted the owner to notify us of any problem. If they had, we would have worked with them immediately to resolve any issues or refund the unused balance of their stay. We were not notified until 6 weeks after their 12 night stay. It is unreasonable for a guest to expect a refund for hot weather and especially after the guest had use of the condo for 12 nights without contacting the owner directly.
