I recently purchased a Kong Squeaky whale with the On/Off featureI thought that Kong was a strong and durable brand of toys so I spent the extra money to buy my dog a "better" toyWithin minutes of giving the toy to my dog it was destroyedI contacted customer service to no availThe customer service representative blamed me for "not buying the correct Kong product" They suggested that I mail the toy at my own cost to their company for their inspection After review of their *** reviews and found that I was not alone in my struggles with this company
Purchased a CLOUD KONG collarI placed it on my dog She was fine with the collar I went to work and returned home and the collar was off of her and she ate it! In order to be used properly this collar required that you blow it up with air During the day - the collar must have had a hole in it and the air was leaking out slowly Due to the air leaking out and the collar deflating she was able to get it off her neck She ate the collar and slowly began getting sickI took her to the vet they took and XRAY and then opened her up ALL of the collar was removed from her stomach and I sent it to KONG KONG wrote me back saying that they would not cover the surgery
My dog bit the top of a KONG toy and accidentally swallowed it I did not see this happen He became very sick and would not eat or drink water After xrays and an ultrasound, it was confirmed that he had an obstruction and required emergency surgery I contacted KONG regarding this and sent the object to them that was removed along with copies of Drand surgeons report KONG's response to me was, that I should of watched my dog better I will NEVER recommend these toys or any of Kong products to anyone and I have shared my story with a lot of people and workers at pet stores Kong toys are not well made and can cause great bodily harm to our beloved pets DO NOT give these products to them
