Mabrey's Automatic Trans Svc Reviews (1)

Around noon on august 23, 2015, I had a young lady who was sitting on the bar side of the restaurant waiting on the rest of her party which was supposedly a group of four. It all began by the hostess who took her to her seat and told her someone would be right with her; my helper and I...

(her waitress) would be the ones who provided her service. As usual the helper first goes to the table to drop off chips and salsa (considering that being at a restaurant she would consume) and asks for her drink. After doing so, my helper came back to tell me that the lady in that table was not ready to order as she was waiting on more people to arrive. I continued on waitering on the rest of my tables, when I came to check on her she was still not ready to order. A while had passed when I noticed she was still waiting on her party so I decided to check again if she had decided to order before her friends arrive. When I went to ask her she replied by saying no and that she wanted her waitress [redacted], I explained to her that I was her waitress and that [redacted] was not a server. When I told her this she repeated herself by requesting [redacted] to be her waitress because they are friends I replied by saying sorry and that if she had asked for [redacted] in the front the hostess would have also explained to her that [redacted] is not a waitress. The young lady then said she needed more time because she wasn’t ready and I said ok to take the time she needed. After one a couple of minutes later she stood and walked up to my helper and me and asked for her bill. On her bill she had only one soda, as restaurant’s policy, which is also written on the menu “chips and salsa are not included with single items” so as policy I charged her $1.95 for the chips and the salsa. I was not aware first of all that she was not happy about the charge because she walked to the front once given her bill and paid it. I then saw her leave the restaurant and then return after seeing her friend [redacted] who is not a waitress but a helper. The issue was never left to be resolved by another person once returning to the restaurant she spoke with me. I did not ignore her. I walked up to her and right away felt uncomfortable as she unnecessarily raised her voice at me. We only stood a couple feet away from other customers when she begins to scream first about not telling her she would be charged for chips and salsa then wanting [redacted] as her waitress. I honestly spoke under her because she did not give me one second to hear me out. I repeated myself again and said [redacted] is not a waitress and that she was charged because she had only one single item on her bill. Still she complained not being informed about the charged policy prior, I tried explaining to her that it is on the menu and it is required to us as employees of the restaurant to follow the restaurant’s policy. As she continued on about [redacted] and the chips I asked her to please lower her voice because we were only a couple feet away from a customer’s table she ignored me, raising her voice even louder not giving me a chance to resolve anything because she stormed off ripping away the receipt from my hands. I did not at any moment insult or accused the customer of being ignorant, much less threatened her as she claims in other reviews she has already written about her service. I never yelled or blamed the situation to be her fault. Initially, I tried to inform her of the restaurant policy to make her understand why she was charged then I tried to talk to her to resolve but was not given a chance. She unfairly quotes me, and claims again of me calling her ignorant and making it a public display. Again we were a couple feet away from other customers, I would never behave the way she claims in respect to her and other customers around us. As she desired as settlement I have included a copy of the menu stating that chips and salsa are not included with single items. Also in regards to her comment about men on the bar top not being charged while ordering dollar-martinis is false as we do not offer dollar-martinis and our happy hours do not apply the hours or day of her visit. Anyone who is sitting on the bar top is also expected to consume. Please understand that a drink at the bar is more than likely to exceed the price of an a la carte item.
