Review: I was called by a representative at Mabro Marketing to attend a presentation at a [redacted] Resort in [redacted], Virginia. For attending, I was promised a voucher for 4 free flights to take a vacation. The complaint is that the marketing people were not forthcoming with all of the stipulations that come with these vouchers. They said that you are required to stay at affiliated hotels and said that, for example, there is a hotel in Florida that is discounted to $69. They implied that these hotels would be inexpensive (and even said it was a discounted price), but if you go to the website of the hotel they quoted, $69 is actually MORE than if I were to just book on my own. Also, this is the only destination that has hotels under $100 -- many of the locations have the cheapest hotel under $300! Their tactics were dubious at best, and I do not appreciate being misled. They cherry-picked prices to quote and lied about having cheap hotels - as I said, the hotel they quoted as being a discount price was more expensive than booking on the hotel's website. I understand the quotation about if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. But they went out of their way to decieve me, and I do not think this is a fair business practice. As an additional point, when emailing back and forth with this company after my presentation, they forwarded me a PDF explaining all the details of the airfare program which the said was "for internal use" - hence, they wouldn't share it until after the presentation, and presumably, they got paid.I would also like to submit this Revdex.com complaint against the [redacted] Resorts as they faciliate this company and this type of behavior.Desired Settlement: I would like an apology from the company and some effort to remedy the situation.
