Dear Sirs,I have just looked at my e-mail and find information on the complaint for person listed aboveThis was for the installation of a aluminum re-roof system on a mobile homeI'll try to address this complaint in the order items are listedI apologize about the delay in responding but any
other complaint always came in the mail not by e-mailGutter and six inch overhang: The paperwork does not indicate that the roof has a six inch overhang around the entire roof and the overhang eliminates the need for the gutterThe contract called for panels at 29’ and panel is at 13’ I have installed well over two thousand re-roof systems in my years in businessI would say only about of these homes had a gutter installedThis home did not have gutter installed as it was not part of the contractorIf the home has a gutter we can empty into it with our new roofOver 95% of the time the gutter is eliminated since now water will evenly fall of the roof on each long sideMany people do not want the maintenance of a gutter on the homeI have water damage to the homeThe first record I have from *** was approximately on July 15th when she called and said she had a leak in the bathroomThe very next day I had one of my employees go to the home and seal around the fan vent of the bathroomWhen the employee returned he indicated that the bedroom area buildup had sunkThe next day I sent two men to take apart the roof system for the affected area and do a plywood buildup*** says wet wood not replacedThe wood was not wetWhen it rains I have water running down the side of the houseThe overhang allows the water to drop straight to the ground not down the sides of her homeGravity allows the water to drop straight downThe homeowner may experience water hitting the side of her home if it is windyWater pools on her roof at bedroom: The correct way to fix the problem is to install new roof rafters and a new ceiling in the bedroomInstead the homeowner had up do a plywood buildup to raise the area over her bedroomWe did correct her sagging bedroom ceiling days after the July 15th callFootprints: Yes we walked allover the roof as we do to install each roofIn all these years no-one has said it leaves dentsRude: I went to her home the day after she called and returned the second day to correct her bedroom ceilingI did not charge her for either dayIf anyone has been rude it has been ***Screws: The screw has a rubber washer and the a caulk is applied over itThe caulk is only a 3rd line of defense and shouldn’t leak even if the caulk had not been appliedGutters: Not part of the contract which I am sending along with this letter.Even though I went to the homeowner the day after the complaint she still sends this nasty letter about my businessShe failed to mention that she received $4,from my insurance companyWhen my employee went to seal the fan vent the only thing he noticed was a small area of discoloration around the fan ventThis roof has been installed properlyIt turns out that *** does not even own the homeShe just called last Monday and complainedI tried to speak to her but wasn’t getting anything resolvedThis time I said goodbye and hung upI received a text message saying “ I’ll see you in court”Respectfully,Richard

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: the contractors statment are not true. I had to call him 3 to 4 times to get him to come out to fix the leak in my roof and it took him 2 weeks to come out and fix it. And when I did call him he was rude and told me" I will fix it when I get to it" and then would hang up on me. I have all of my phone records to prove this  and I have the voice mail that he left on my phone telling me that the roof was fixed showing it was 2 weeks after my first call. My first call to him was not on July 15th it was on July 10th and his call telling me that the roof was fixed was on July 23rd. I have the nasty message that he left me on my voice mail on July 10th saved and I have his voice mail that he left me on July23rd telling me the roof was fixed saved too. If he wants to continue to lie about everything, I am more than willing to send you both messages and the date and time they were left.  I also have the paperwork that he gave me stating that ALL metal roof came with a 6 inch overhang and 3 inch gutters as a standard part of the roofing system. I had gutters already on my home prior to him installing the new roof, HE took them down off of my house because he said that I did not need them. And it says right in his paperwork the the new roof comes with gutters. He only sent you a copy of the installation agreement, not the paper that says what was included in the roofing system he installed. As fas as him not charging me for the 2 times he came out, the roof has a warrenty, so there would be not charge to begin with. The second time he came out was to build up the part of the roof over my bedroom where the water was pooling. It shows in my written contract that he charged me extra for 20 sheets of plywood and for the build up of that part of the roof. He never did it to begin with when he installed the roof, if he had, there wouldn't have been any pooling of water. My bedroom roof was NEVER sagging and he NEVER fixed anything inside my home. He is the one who told me that the roof above my bedroom needed to be built up, he never told me anything about needing new rafters. I even have the notebook paper that he wrote everything down for me before we did the contract. There is nothing on there that mentions anything about new rafters. As far as the insurance money I recieved, that is to pay for the water damage inside my home that was caused by the leak in the roof. I had water damage to my bathroon, hallway and bedroom. Yes, I do not own the home, but I PAID for the new roof and I PAID for all of the home repairs made to the inside of the home and to the outside of the home. As far as my phone call to him last week. I called him and very nicly asked him AGAIN about the over hang only being 4 inches and about the gutters. I had called and talked to him around a month before that and he told me that he would have someone look at it when they has time. (and he was very rude in that phone call too) He got rude right away and was saying to me " Is this the [redacted] that complained to the Revdex.com about me? Is this the [redacted] that just got $4000 form my insurance company? If you want to contact me, you will have to do it in writing" and then HE hung up on me. I had the whole conversation on speaker phone and 3 of my co-workers we present during the whole conversation. I did this, because he is always rude everytime I call and he hangs up on me everytime I call. All 3 of them are more than willing to give a statement about my phone call to him last week. So again if he wants to continue to LIE, I will have them report about our conversation. That is why I texted him that I would see him in court, I was NICELY trying to talk to him. All I wanted was to get what I paid for, thats it. But he is not willing to work with me at all. I will scan in and send all of the paperwork he gave me so you can see that he only sent you what HE wanted you to see.
Regards,

9-20-2017Dear Sirs:The basis for my company for 40 years has been to do quality work and satisfy our customers.1. The customer has said that we left some work unfinished. We did and we came back to complete the work shortly after being notified.2. Six weeks later job was done... I explained to the...

homeowner at the time of sale that we would install the roof and frame the walls. Then I would measure the [redacted] windows to the nearest 1/8 inch. I informed them it normally takes about 4 weeks to get the windows as the company comes to this area once every two weeks. 3. Skylight leak...When the customer called we returned to seal the skylights again. 4. Never came back. The customer did not call me. He called the foreman that had sealed the skylights. The foreman told me he asked if he could come the following evening and was told "no". He asked aboutcoming the next day and the customer told him he would get back to him but never did. Rather than call me he wrote this letter...5. The panels used for the roof are a finished product clad with aluminum on both sides. When selling the job we discussed the additional cost of gluing shingles to the roof. It was never included in the contract which I am sending along with this letter. Trying to satisfy the customer I glued down matching shingles on the roof for which he never paid.... Sometimes you just can't win.
