1) I was not informed prior to my stay that the hotel was under renovations and that large parts of the hotel would be considered construction zones I should have been informed of the conditions prior to booking so that I could make an informed decision as to whether or not I wanted to pay over $for one night in this hotel in its current state2) There was no hot water when we arrived at the hotel on the evening of May 5, We were told there would be hot water the following morning3) There was still no hot water on the morning of May 6, Accordingly, my husband and I were unable to take showers prior to checking out of the hotel4) The mattress protector and/or contour sheet did not cover the mattress completely This is unsanitary5) While it is true that the room appeared recently renovated, the smell of off-gassing from the newer items and finishes in the room was extremely strong My husband and I had to inhale these fumes during our entire stay6) Just outside and around our hotel room were large sections of exposed dirt, wooden pallets, construction vehicles, storage sheds and tools I am utterly shocked that no information was provided with regard to these conditions prior to my booking7) Our reservation confirmation noted that our room would be on the first floor Our room was not on the first floor As the hotel does not have an elevator, we had to hand-carry our luggage and a heavy cooler through the construction areas and up to the second floor8) We were unable to take advantage of the free, hot breakfast offered by the hotel as the seating area in the lobby is extremely limited and it was occupied9) I contacted the general manager of the hotel via e-mail with the above complaints and requested a full refund on May 8, No refund or other compensation was offered as of today, May 12,
