Review: I had an Issue with my water in the Bathroom, being that it would not turn off, my condo association sent out Macca Plumbing. After talking to 3 different people at Macca, I was told that they would be at my place within an hour to an hour and a half. The call was placed around 3 and the worker showed up around 415. When the worker arrived, he shut off the water, went into the bathroom, broke some tile, had to leave to get a part, came back, told me he could not fix it and that he was going to have to do a whole new rebuild, he left at 530. So after he left, my water was still running and had damaged tile. 2 days later I receive a bill for $405 being charged 162$ and hour at an overtime rate for 2 and a half hours worth of work. I called Macca Plumbing to get some explanation on the bill. I asked, why was I being charged 162 p/hour at an overtime rate and why was I being charged for 2 1/2 hours? there answer to the first question was, our guys work 7am to 330pm anything after that is an overtime rate. I responded with, shouldnt I be made aware of your overtime rate and the hours that YOU consider to be overtime, he said I was told this on the phone(was not) and that maybe I needed to listen better when being talked to. As for #2. He said the billing begins once he makes his call to his guy. How am I to know what this guy was doing from the time I placed my call to Macca and the hour and 15 minutes it took him to get to my place, knowing that his 'overtime' rate was starting at 330? Lastly, I told Macca Plumbing that they were double dipping with me by charging me twice for a problem they could have fixed once. $405 to come out and break tile/sheetrock and leave a leaky faucet and charge me more than double the amount of time he was at my place, just so they could come out again, charge me another outrageous price and fix it. I just wanted this complaint to go on record about their business practice. Also I will not pay this bill and I will spread the word about their shady practices.

I would like for Macca Plumbing to excuse this bill because they did nothing to solve a problem and now I have to have an entire wall rebuild with new tile because of the damage they have done. So Thanks to Macca Plumbing I now have to lose work wages and pay for an expense that is now in the excessive side of what I should actually be paying.

Although much of what Mr. [redacted] says is inacurate and at times hard to follow. He states he was not told about the overtime charge and he also states the condo association sent us out. So I am not sure which is correct? We typically only get dispatched by the owner.the tile that was broken was necessary to attempt to make the repair. He only let us know his dissatfaction with the job after he had gotten it repaired because he was afraid he would be charged again? Well the only way to be guaranteed to be charged 2 times for a job is to have two companies work on the job. If he had called us to do the replacement we would have credited him the amount of the original trip. Mr [redacted] made an assumption that we would not stand behind our work and we were never given the opportuntiy to correct the situation because he just assumed we would charge him again and that is where the mistake was made on his part. If he had communicated with us the problem we would have been very happy to work out an equitable setlement. the only advice I would give him in the future is if he has problem with service to call the people and let them know. In 53 years of business we have only had 2 complaints to Revdex.com and none with consumer protection, not because we are perfect but because we are fair and honest and we stand behind our work. Please know we want all our customers to be satisfied and if they are not there is not a charge.
