The customer *** *** came in with his fiancé on Saturday and took a couple hours choosing an engagement ringHe ended up selecting a ring from our stock in the showcase for his fiancé, and selecting a wedding band for himself to special order in his size and in a lower karat than our
stock. We are a full service jewelers store with onsite Jewelers so the customer's ring was sized to the requested size and the diamond was set that evening after the store closed to customersWe are closed on Sundays. Mr*** purchased this ring and signed final sale on his sales receipt and charge slipHe was aware it was a final saleHe did not put a deposit to order, he paid on his personal credit card, signed final sale on the charge slipHe also opened a Sharif Wells Fargo credit account in the store and charged the balance to this card with months interest freeAnd again he signed the POS sales receipt that it was a final sale. We are being more than reasonable with Mr*** by allowing him to get a refund for the wedding band he ordered for himself, as we had not yet purchased the band for him, but his finances engagement ring has been altered and is not returnable. The store manager spoke to the client and explained the policy and he said he understood, and would be in on Friday to work out a resolution. We are willing to work with the client, but we would appreciate that he be truthful in the factsThank you, Sharif Jewelers
