Initial Business Response /* (1000, 11, 2015/08/11) */
We have no record of the customer contacting our office. They may call XXX-XXX-XXXX or mail their warranty request to [redacted], denver, CX XXXXX.
Proof of purchase is required on all warranty claims.
If the warranty claim is valid...
then we will give the customer an authorization letter to take to where they purchased the item for replacement. We do not sell direct to the consumer and therefore all replacements are processed through one of our customers - Home Depot, True Value, Ace Hardware, etc..
thank you

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 13, 2015/08/16) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This complaint is unresolved. None of the issues have been addressed. The solution was stated in the complaint.
I already made the warranty claim per the product's label. I obviously cannot, and should not have to, make the warranty claim a second time. MacCourt was mailed those documents so obviously I do not have them anymore. Either MacCourt was negligent in losing them or is being dishonest in its response. MacCourt ignored the claim.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 19, 2015/09/09) */
Please take your 2 broken covers along with your proof of purchase to the retailer from which they were purchased along with this letter and you will be given two new covers.
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 21, 2015/09/17) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This substitute resolution is flawed. It does not approximate the initially stated desired resolution, it does not account for extreme amounts of wasted time, it fails to realize that my proof of purchase was sent to the offending company and therefore is not in my possession, and there is no attached letter anyway. What an insult. Complaint unresolved.
