On 8/31/Mr [redacted] arrived at our dealership without an appointment stating that his vehicle was making aloud ticking noise from the engine compartmentAt that time he was informed that our schedule was booked-out weeksHowever, because he was from out of town and here for work, we could run it back to one of our technicians to see if it was something seriousAt this time, Mr [redacted] had a friend pick him up from the dealershipThe vehicle was then ported to a technician who stated that the noise was, in fact, internal in the motorMr [redacted] then arrived back at the dealership before noon and was informed of the findings and that because the vehicle was under warranty through Ford Motor Company, the engine would have to be removed, torn-down, the causal part found, and that this usually takes about weeks to complete the repairHowever, Due to our schedule being full, this may take longerMr [redacted] was informed that the technician would be able to work on his truck in between other scheduled jobs, as time allowedAt that time Mr [redacted] spoke with one of our sales staff to see about possibly tradithe truckAs they were not able to complete a deal, Mr [redacted] then authorized us to start on the repair and was provided a rental vehicle with unlimited mileage.After approxweeks, Mr [redacted] stopped by the dealership and spoke with our Service ManagerAt that time, Mr [redacted] asked our Service Manager if the vehicle could be driven to another dealer for the repairOur service manager told Mr [redacted] that he was not sure, but that they both could walk back and ask the technician if that was possibleAt that time, the technician said that he could do that but that he could not guarantee the vehicle would make it, or that it would not cause further damage, as he did not know exactly what was causing the concernAt that time, Mr [redacted] again ask when the vehicle would be finished and ready for him to pick up and was told that the vehicle should be ready weeks from that dayMr [redacted] said that was ok and that he was leaving the vehicle at our dealership until the repair was complete.On 9/28/2015, the technician completed tear-down and diagnosticsApproval was obtained from Ford Motor Company for replacement of the motor, both turbos, and the water pump pulleyParts were ordered at that timeOn 9/29/15, Mr [redacted] was notified that the repairs were approved and that the parts were ordered
