MacIntosh Electric Corp.

The company was hired by my realty management to handle electrical code violations in my apartment. The companies contractor Abdul performed the work, he was supposed to be at my house between 8am and 815, he arrived at 8:45. He settles his tools down, the goes to get the equipment. When he comes back, first thing he asks me for are for garbage bags. This guys claims he's been working for 24 years doing electrical work, and does not know to bring garbage bags with him to a job site????? Anyways, next up, he says there is going to be a little dust from breaking the wall to install the new panel. I said its fine as long as put some tarp or drape to contain the dust in the small 2x2 area where the panel was. He was not prepared for that as well, so he instantly starts to give me excuses about why its ok to not put it up. So I call his manager Larry, and all of a sudden out the door I see him go to his truck, and within 5 minutes he was back with the tarp. He finally gets into a flow and after getting the panel installed, he starts on switching the outlets one by one. The very last outlet, was behind my couch, and is one of the mold framing outlets over the wall. Apparently the way the building had it installed prior was no up to code, and it now required a box that would basically protrude out of the way by 1.5". I quickly advised the contractor that it would not acceptable like that because my couch has always been against that wall, would undoubtedly get punctured by the wall outlet protruding so far off the wall. Abdul sat on the floor looking at the floor responding to me, that it MUST be installed with the box, or otherwise he would have to get rid of the outlet. That was also be unacceptable. Eventually after talking to Larry again, it was decided they were to leave the outlet as it was before until they could come back so they could properly snake the outlet in the wall instead of having the molding. So there we go problem solved right, no! The installer insists to his employer sending pictures, and so on, he becomes flustered, and is eventually making me uncomfortable in my home. I ask to please finish his work, clean up after himself, then collect his tools, and leave as soon as possible. He He when he left he did not clean up himself. He ends up doing everything EXCEPT cleaning up after himself. He also leaves while I was on the phone with his manager, so I did inform him of how my home was left, and was instructed to send pictures. Larry then said he would forward the pictures to "K" the owner. Eventually "K" calls me and with the RUDEST tone ever starts to accuse me of not allowing his contractor to his job. After asking him to keep his disrespectful tone down, he proceeded to speak to me loudly, even after I informed him that my daughter had just hurt herself due to stepping on something that his worker had left on the floor. Aside, from not cleaning up after himself, he left my stove and fridge also pulled away from the walls, and various areas of litter from his work was left scattered around the apartment.
I would not recommend this company if you had an emergency, and they offered the work at no charge.
