03/03/17We are *** *** and *** *** the owners of the property at *** *** ***, Tobyhanna, PA ***.We called MrMack A*** to get an estimate for repairing our heating and A/C system in the houseWe had an old system which worked on Freon gas and our outside unit was damaged.MrMack A*** gave us an estimate, told us not to worry that he will fix everything, he will adjust it, repair it and that we will be very satisfied with the service.He told us that he will install unit with ton, but installed ton unit instead. He ordered and charged us for *** kit (expansion valve) and didn't install it He showed us the box with the part, and left the empty box on the air handler, but didn'tHe made it look like he did but eventually he liedHe charged us for labor to install *** kit, but didn't install itHe installed orifice (which the labor and parts are much cheaper than installation of *** kit).He wrote in the estimate that price includes all necessary copper and wiring, but he connected the unit to old wiring, which caused us a big problem with wiring and electricity in the houseHe was working on the air handler, and didn't tell us its missing a filter, which as an asc professional he should know it's an important partHe told us he will give us warranty for one year, but when we called him after days, he said the warranty was only for daysIt was our mistake for not checking what he was writing on the invoice, but we trusted him for 100%, and he used thatHe gave us a business card which states that he give service 24/7, but when we called him he didn't help and didn't gave us a chance to explain the problem, he just decided to ignore usWe are not knowledgeable in this field of work, so we put our trust into this man to do a professional jobWe feel he took advantage of us for not knowing what he was doing.We want to get a refund for this unprofessional job, we hope this matter will be resolved with your help.Regards,

2-11-17Dear *** *** ***:My name is Mack A***, I have been doing Heating and Air Conditioning for years and am very skilled in this field.I was initially called in to do work for *** *** by his daughter who resides in FloridaShe explained that they were having issues with their
current heating unit and electrical issues at this location.I provided an estimate that was approved by ***, the son-in-law to *** ***Also, *** *** confided that he had problems with other contractors in the past.The unit removed from this location was a 36,000btu, (ton) outdoor unit, which I still have in my possession and was to be replaced with a ton unitas proposedI never promised to install a 3/ton unit, this would result in a mismatch of capacity.In an effort to save the customer money by not having to replace the indoor unit as well I installed a flow rater metering device which insured the compatibility of both the indoor and outdoor units.The customer insisted that I was to put in an extension valve which I could only assume that he meant expansion valveThe expansion valve would not fit into his existing unit so I installed the flow rater metering device instead because it operates the same way as the expansion valve.Upon completion of the installation the customer was pleased with my work and I was paid in fullWe had a good rapport with the customer, they offered us food and drink and we in turn took their household trash to the dumpster for them.This unfortunate situation began and escalated when I received a phone call one Sunday night at 10:30pm, from ***, the son-in-law asking why the *** was not installed but they were charged for itIn order for him to even ask me this question would imply that he or someone else opened up the indoor unit and tampered with it
