In response to ***' statement, The Erie County Health Dept. inspector did inspect the certify that the septic system was installed correctly on July 14th, 2017. *** has had issues with her pump and the alarm due to "her neighbor" had capped off the line that discharges the water. That water builds back up in the pump take due to no where to release to, which will sound the alarm. There was NEVER a cap installed at the end of the line by anyone at *** Services, Inc. *** even states in her response that "my neighbor noticed the cap missing and replaced it". That's because there never was a cap put on the pipe. *** also states that after digging around the pipes in the absorption trench, the pipe is solid. That was not installed by us. Since they were digging around and admitted to it, *** and neighbor have done more damage by putting solid pipe and than capping it off so no water can flow. Also *** states that the water flow from her neighbors at higher elevations comes down along her yard. That also adds to her water issues and has from day one so that is nothing new. I can also have *** Tree service speak also on how wet her yard was. They wouldn't even take any of their trucks or equipment in her yard because it was so unsafe with the wetness. So that's when Jason agrees to take the trees down himself and drag them to the road where *** Tree service waited to do the removal. So for the lake occurring after the septic system was installed is not correct. First it was extremely wet before hand, than the neighbor had dug that trench and also capped off the line that wasn't suppose to be capped off. As for the pictures of all the settling, we cannot predict the amount of rain or the force it comes at. Jason had stated to *** about the heavy rains that we were getting that it was going to settle a lot before they left her property The yard would have been put back together but that costs $and *** still owed $to us for balance of system. I did tell *** I'd work with her on the $to us but didn't hear from her regarding that matter for quite some time. Once again, if I would have sent the landscaper out to complete the final grade, I would have been behind $2300.00. Which, we are a small company that can't afford to sit on $2300.00. The $I would have worked with her on. Sincerely, Julie ***

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowPictures
are attachedAs for ***'s story, I disagreeYes, my yard is wet
Yes, we had an unusual amount of rain, but I never had more than a small
puddle of standing water after a heavy rainPictures show the new
"lake" my yard turned intoThere is a natural drainage that goes
through our backyards (mine and all neighbors) and this drainage was
blocked by new system. It
is true they health deptsaid it was installed correctly but they are
also wrongShame on them for messing up and then denying it! Obviously
they are not working in the homeowners favor. They
have since been here to look at the system and agreed it is NOT
correctSeems to me everyone wants to put it on me and I didn’t install
the system! I was just a trusting person and now I am left with a mess
and a faulty system. Yes,
I stated I called numerous timesI DIDJulie did not always answer
and sometimes I left messages and they were not returnedI am sorry
about her father but that really has nothing to do with the fact that
for over months I cannot get them to respond, except for the time her
one guy came out, took pictures, agrees the yard was a mess and never
called after that! It
is NOT true I forgot to turn on breakerI was out of town until 7/
and promptly turned it on on my returnThe alarm went off immediatelyI
called and I was told to hit silenceI did. After that I called and
said there was a problem because the alarm was always being silenced, my
yard was now a lake and I wanted someone to come and seeI repeatedly
inquired about grading and seedingNo one came until one day the guy
showed up and yes, it was determined the breaker had trippedI asked
WHY it trippedI was told someone would get back to me. After
weeks, I emailed to inquire as to why no one was responding to meIt
is not true that I never calledI have called many times and been told
Jason would be out to see meNever happened. As
for the trench my neighbor dug, it was to alleviate the flooding in my
yard, IT DID NOT CREATE IT! I can only assume the cap at the end of the
absoption pipe must have come off at some point and with the natural
drainage blocked, that seems to be where all the water came fromMy
neighbor noticed the cap missing and replaced it, only to have more
problems with the system. Alarm
going off againAfter must frustration of *** not even attempting
to check into the problem, I noticed the pump station was never emptying
as it was supposed to and unless I turned off breaker, alarm still
going offAfter digging around the pipes in the absorption trench, Low
and behold, the pipe is not the corrugated pipe that is supposed to be
thereIt is solid pipe and THAT is why the system is not working
the water has no where to go! I started noticing things bubbling up in
my house so since I was not getting anyone at *** to listen or even
call or come see me, I called the health deptso they could verify that
the system is incorrect. THEY
DID! And I was told to leave the end cap off so the systems could
drainSo once again I called *** and was told there is nothing wrong
with the systemI told her to contact Mark, supervisor at the health
department, as he told me YES it is INCORRECT. I
never heard from *** again, even after she told me again she would
call me backYou would think that if they are so sure they are right,
they would send someone to LOOK at the pipe!!! Also,
for the record, they didn't come out times to clean out any pipes
They came once and hooked up a "temporary" pipe - something I was told
"they do all the time". And
I was told the yard needed to settle - for about weeksThe only
thing that settled was the holes got deeper and the lake got bigger and
bigger - until someone helped me with the trenchThey trench directed
the water in the ditch and out of my yardI don’t want a trench there
either but the job *** did BLOCKED the natural drainage and any one
of my neighbors can tell you that - they saw itThe water flow comes
down along my yard from the higher elevation next door and down thru the
yards in the backIt is not running water, but it has to drain and now
the pipe and humped up mud won’t let it drain naturallyAnd the health
department guy knew this too because he mentioned it when he came out
to come up with plans for the systemThe plans show TWO pipes, probably
so as not to block drainage, but that was not how it was put in. Now
the Health deptsaid I am in violation because the pipe is solid and
the cap had to be removed to let that water pump out to the back -
without going threw the absorption process - which is not legal... But IT CAN'T DRAIN NATURALLY OUT OF A SOLID PIPE!!!I’m not sure what more I can tell you but I had to file this complaint because, obviously, I am not getting any help from ***. Regards,*** ***

On March 2nd, 2017 I had received a phone call from [redacted] Felger residing at [redacted].  [redacted] had stated that she had just purchased this property and needed an estimate for a new 3 bedroom septic system.  Also stated that her yard is constantly wet that I have documented...

in my computer.  We had installed a new septic system as per Erie County Health Dept.  specifications, it was inspected by Erie County Health Dept.  They also issued a certificate stating it was installed correctly.  As of now we haven't heard anything differently from the Erie County Health Dept.  As for me saying I wouldn't send anyone out due to the balance of $500.00 is false.  And I did agree to work with [redacted] on the balance of $500.00.  I had mentioned the $500.00 when [redacted] had called to see when the property was going to be graded and seeded because the grading & reseeding is an additional $1800.00 so that would be us back $2300.00 total.  [redacted] states that she has called numerous times which is false.  I'm the only one answering the phones this past summer.  My mother Diana [redacted] is usually able to answer the phones to help me out every once in a while but my father was in 2 different hospitals and then sent to a nursing home so my mother wasn't in the office for the most part of summer and into September.  As for the alarm issues, on one occasion [redacted] had called about the alarm going off but we had had that massive rain in a short period of time.  We had so many calls about alarms because the ground just couldn't except the amount we were getting in the short period of time.  The second time [redacted] called about the alarm I had sent the guys out to confirm she never flipped the breaker and to find out she had a neighbor dig a gigantic trench along side of the new septic system that we just installed.  The trench is flooding her yard now with all the neighbors water run off.  On top of already having a wet yard.  Jason & myself felt bad for [redacted] and had gone above & beyond.  I had sent my service crew out on 3 different occasions to open her lines to the septic so she could use her facilities until the permit for the septic system was completed no charge on any of those calls.  Once on site Jason had installed a new gutter line no charge, he also took down trees and dragged them with the machine to the road because the tree service wouldn't take any of there equipment on her property due to how wet it was.  The trees needed to come down for the new installation.  It was also explained to [redacted] before the guys left that the yard would settle excessively because of how hard and the amounts of rain that we have been getting.  If there is something else you need from me, please let me know. Sincerely. Julie [redacted]
