April 16, 2014Dear [redacted],I am responding to the above complaint regarding our business,We originally scheduled to replace a part in the home owners air conditioning unit on /25/13 but called her on /24/13 and asked to reschedule due to more pressing issues. At that time we made plans...

to return on 10/10/13 and install the new part. Our mechanic arrived at the residence that morning and the homeowner was not there. Obviously she had forgotten the appointment and went to work and advised the mechanic when he called her that she could not leave work. That was a loss of several hours to our company for the mechanic to load the equipment, make the drive to and from her residence and then unload the equipment. The homeowner never called the following day to apologize or reschedule. We stored the equipment in our warehouse several months until we had the opportunity to use it on another job. She just called last week, five months later to reschedule. She was told that she could contact any local dealer and get the part free and pay only the labor to do so, as would have been the case had we installed it. Had she called within a few days of her missed appointment, we would have scheduled it promptly so we would not have had several hundred dollars of equipment sitting around our warehouse,We are sorry this customer is unhappy, however, considering the way she handled her missed appointment, we prefer she contact another dealer who could provide the parts and install them for labor only,

Review: AIR CONDITIONING FAILED AFTER PREVIOUS REPLACEMENT. SERVICE CAME PUT RERIGERANT IN TO SYSTEM. MACKLEYS THEN CALLED ME BACK & SAID COIL HAD LEAKING ISSUE & HAD BEEN RECALLED & THEY WOULD REPLACE. APPT WAS SCHEDULED & CANCELLED BY THEM DUE TO ANOTHER EMERGENCY JOB. I AGREED TO LET THEM HANDLE THE EMERGENCY AND WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE ABOUT 2WKS UNTIL THEY COULD GET BACK TO ME & THEY WOULD CALL. I DID NOT RECEIVE ANY CALL UNTIL THE REPAIRMAN WAS AT MY HOUSE & SAID WHERE WAS I? I WAS AT WORK AND COULD NOT LEAVE. I TOLD HIM I HAD NOT BEEN CALLED TO SCHEDULE THE APPT. I CALLED THE OFFICE TO RESCHEDULE & RECEIVED NO RETURN CALL. THEY STATE, THEY DID & I DIDNT CALL THEM BACK? CONFLICT. AS WE WERE NOW INTO OCTOBER & BAD WEATHER PLAGUED US, I THOUGHT I WAS BEING KIND AND NOT BOTHERING THEM DURING A BUSY SEASON OF FURNACE FAILURES DUE TO THE EXTREME WEATHER. I CALLED TODAY AND WAS TOLD THEY FEEL THEY ATTEMPTED TO DO THE WORK AND I WAS ON MY OWN. TOO BAD THEY USED THE PART FOR ANOTHER JOB. I DONT HAVE THE EXACT DATES OR AMOUNTS WITH ME AT THIS MOMENT.Desired Settlement: I LOVED THIS BUSINESS AND SENT MANY PEOPLE TO THEM. I WOULD JUST LIKE TO HAVE THE WORK DONE AS PROMISED. MISUNDERSTANDINGS HAPPEN, BUT I JUST COULD NOT BELIEVE HOW I WAS BEING TREATED AFTER THE INITIAL CANCELLATION WAS THEIRS & I WAS TRYING TO BE HELPFUL BY NOT PUSHING A NON EMERGENCY JOB, MY FAULT IN THAT, I DIDNT THINK THEY WOULD WORK OUTSIDE ON AN AIR CONDITIONER IN THE WINTER WITH 2 FT OF SNOW SURROUNDING IT. I HONESTLY HAVE NO RECORD OF HER CALLING ME BACK. I HAVE GONE THRU ALL MY CELL MESSAGES AND THERE IS JUST NOTHING THERE.

Very poor experience with this company. They installed a new A/C system in my home in June 2014. Had problems with it not working properly from the day they finished the job. A/C unit would run, but not cool the house. I went in attic to find that they did not seal the return duct work at the new unit (4" opening along the bottom) and there was a 2" gap at the filter opening allowing the 100* hot air from attic to enter cooling unit. They fixed that and unit still did not work. My wife called and talk to a very rude lady that told her when it's hot out, above 95, that A/C units cannot keep up. My wife asked her what the people do in AZ when it's 110* outside....no response. My wife explained we never had this problem with the old system. Fall came and I gave up. In July of this year, same problem, unit runs, but does not cool house. I called and asked them to come out and fix the unit or replace it. I was willing to pay the difference in price for a larger unit if that's what we needed. The rude lady said she has the same unit in her house and it keeps her house cool. I asked why doesn't it keep MY house cool, please come out so we can resolve this problem. She said that someone would call. 2 weeks later, no call from anyone. I finally called another A/C contractor to come out and check everything. They sent a young man who checked the outside unit, Freon level, and everything was fine. BUT, when he went into attic he found that the wonderful people from Mackley's must have pulled on the air return duct work while they were trying to make it fit the new unit and it was separated (a 6" gap) at the other end of the attic behind chimney. He made a piece of duct work up, installed it, and the unit has work great ever since. I was told the problem was that opening in the return duct work was drawing air from the attic (100* air) instead of returning cool air from the house. Please avoid these people at all costs....
