A major reason I went with these guys was the smooth talking owner was very confidentPaired with the veteran aspect, my brother is career military; I gladly paid $more to go with EF&C over another local fence builderThe first let down was that he talked me out of the fence we really wantedA decorative cap to frame the sections was shot down by "Oh that will grow moss under it, and hold dirt, and won't drain correctly"We also didn't want the dog ear premade panel look anyone can DIY from the local home storeYes, you guessed it; we go the dog ear anywayI was already a little uneasy by then but we have dogs and needed a new fenceOnce they arrived the fence went up very quickly3-days if I remember correctlyPoles set in cement; they cured for a few days, then 2x4's and fence boards up in a day or twoInitially, I was told they use some kind of great western wood, they truck in for the build seasonA bar code off the bottom of the fence board made a quick search and landed on the Home Depot SKU numberNot happy about thatOnce the fence was completed (And they were paid) they said they would come back and address any boards that needed replace as they tend to warp or split quickly sometimesAfter a few months the gates warped so badly they stopped shutting correctlySide gate had such a huge gap, poor measuring; they scabbed on a filler board on the outside that looked horribleLuckily it split in two after a few months and finally fell off, but now there is the aforementioned huge gap to look thruI have attempted to contact them over the course of the entire last yearCatching anyone there is hit or missIF you do catch them you get a bunch of good ol boy stories and responses and A LOT of promises of fixing it, coming out, etcI soon found out their "I'll be right back" it at least days and countingWorst $headache I ever purchasedIf I can keep at least one person from spending a dime at EF&C then I have done my jobDo not use them or you will regret it as I have

8/5/Called and let them know gates warped will not shut - side gate scab board ugly, no return
9/4/Called again about 8/5/call was told family issues - will be out soon
12/15/Called and left message about the state of the situation, no return
6/1/Called, got the owner, was told he would be by end of next week to do gates and fence boards around the 6/11-6/At some previous time I was told I would get a steel frame type gate to replace the wood with wood fence boards attached to outside
6/16/called, was told partner was deployed I the reservesI love America, but not my problem
6/Owner finally came out, measured the gatesAt this point I was now told I'd be getting a welded frame that would be screwed onto the warped fence to help keep it from warping more, maybe straighten it up? I say not likelyBut I doesn't matter because that was days ago and counting
I had held out giving my review hoping I would eventually get what I paid forIt has become crystal clear they do not value me as a customer so now I can finally broadcast my experience and hope it diverts business away from a shoddy company and steer it more towards a company that actually values their future, current, and past customersI have since purchased a welder to fabricate my own gates and clean up this situation once and for allSeriously, buyer beware of these guys
