Issues what was promised and what was received after signingAlone finding the vehicle we wanted and discussing what we must have in the vehicle, which was needed was a red wrap and needed to have a navigation radio, the sales person told us we would receive a wrap, and the nav system. After signing the papers the truck took a day or two to get booked in for the wrap. Also I needed to put the truck in my name and was told did not need a inspection this took 3 times at the regerstation office but got done. Then after went in for the wrap 1 week later. Then went in the service station and got some thing repaired. Meanwhile still waiting for the nav system. After trying to get this done I was told by someone that I will not get the nav because the wrap cost more than what they thought. Finally received a call from MacNeil Motors and was told that they won't do it cause there is no room in the quote for it after the wrap. If I knew this before signing I wouldn't. [redacted]Desired SettlementAll we are looking for is a navigation stereo system that was to be installed

In February 2014, my son's girlfriend tried to purchase a car from MacNeil Motors in Martensville. The dealership told her they were unable to approve her and asked if she could get a co-signer. She tried a couple of her family members but they were unable to help so she asked me son. He agreed to co-sign. When the salesman presented the documents to them, he told them the bill of sale was only in my son's name but that they could get that changed a month later into her name. They believed what he was telling them, and my son signed. His girlfriend did not. [redacted]. They have since broken up, and now my son is stuck with a car he doesn't want and a loan for way more than what the car is actually worth. It's a 2013 [redacted] and the dealership sold it to them for over $25,0000.00. The loan is now at $22,000.00, and there is major "negative equity" because it is only valued at $14,000.00 at the very most. Now he can't even trade it in without having a balance of close to $10,000.00. I called the dealership and spoke to [redacted]. I told him his salesman totally misrepresented the documents when he presented them. I told him we were going to bring the car back and they can buy it back for exactly what is left owing on it. Mr. [redacted] told me "that wasn't going to happen" and that if my son "signed the contract, he bought himself a car". The conversation ended.Product_Or_Service: 2013 [redacted]Desired SettlementWe are asking that the dealership buy the car back for exactly what is remaining on the loan.

Advertised for "the vehicle you want, at the financing you want, or they will pay you $2500.00 cash."Good credit, no credit, bad creditMacNeil Motors advertised a "Super Sale" at [redacted]. From Apr 22 - Apr 26. I went in on Apr 22 at 7pm and was greeted outside the building by a salesman named [redacted]. He gave me the little sales chit chat as we walked into the building, he guided us to a table and took all my credit info. [redacted]. After 20 minutes I was told that he was waiting for a manager to become free. So I got up and wandered around the vehicles and found one that I wanted an 2009 [redacted]. He came over and said he was still waiting for a manager and that I should go out and test drive it. He worked around telling me the price of it by saying that no offer would be refused. He also asked for my vehicle keys so they can appraise it for the trade in value. I went and took the test drive and came back and was told that he was still waiting for a manager. We sat even longer and still no word. [redacted]. At 7:55 we were told that the banks were closed and they would have to try the next day. I called about 8 times the following few days and no one would return my calls. I finally spoke to a manager named [redacted] and was told that I would need a co-signer to be approved, he still wouldn't tell me the price of the vehicle, I reminded him of the ad terms of that they were to get anyone approved for the vehicle the cust choose or they would pay you $2500.00. He argued with me that I would be approved if I had a co-signer but that is not what the ad stated. He said that they were really busy with the sale and that he would need some time Mon to Wed to find something for me. I called back on Thurs to find out that [redacted] was just a part of a sales tem that went around to different event to help sales. I went there on Sat May 3 and [redacted], the sales person was sitting there and was shocked to see me there. He said come on into the back area, and it was set up the same way they had it at [redacted]. There were people sitting at tables waiting, he told me to wait and he would get a manager. I waited another 10-15 min and finally just went back up to the front when he said he had my file and was going to show me what they approved me for, which was a 2012 [redacted], [redacted] I went from requesting a truck to down grading to a sub-compact. I finally was able to speak with a manager and was told that that was what fit my [redacted] financing. I reminded him of what the ad on the radio said, that it was for the vehicle that I want at the financing that I want, or they would pay me $2500.00. He basically said no and that those were the terms. The flyer which is dated Apr 22-Apr 26 said if they can't get me approved they would pay me the $2500.00. They didn't get me approved during the sale and have refused to pay me.Desired SettlementI am seeking the $2500.00 they guaranteed me if they couldn't get me approved during the sale for the vehicle that I wanted.Business Response The customer is APPROVED plain and simple. It was a lot of work to even get him into the vehicle we showed him, he DEMANDED a truck or 2500. I stated that people can't come in and demand a Ferrari or 2500. We guarantee the "APPROVAL", not that we guarantee to get you any vehicle you desire. [redacted] needs to re-establish his credit and that's exactly what we showed him how to do, it was his choice to reject the vehicle we had him approved on. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)For starters they didn't get me approved during the timeframe of the sale. In their flyer and the radio advertising they stated that if they couldn't get you the financing you want for the vehicle you want that they would pay you $2500.00 cash. I had to call almost daily to get someone to speak to me about my application. Then I took it upon myself to go to their home location in [redacted] a week after the sale and the salesperson was shocked to see me there. They offered me a 2012 [redacted]. I was looking at a 2009 [redacted] 1500, crew cab, four wheel drive, that they had during the sale. The truck had about 172000 km and had been in 6 collisons. They wouldn't tell me the price of the vehicle at anytime during the week of trying to purchase the vehicle. I researched the vehicle online at other dealers websites and they averaged at $16000.00. Minus my truck as trade in and minus the $2500.00 they would take off, how much can this truck possibly be worth as in compared to the 2012 [redacted]. [redacted]. They didn't even ask how much cash I had to put down. [redacted]. [redacted]. [redacted] I qualify for the $2500.00 that they advertised and they failed to comply with their own promises made to the public in writing and on air.Final Business Response If Mr [redacted] was as concerned with the program we could offer him as he was with trying to get $2500 out of our advertising he would be driving his new vehicle. The vehicle he was interested in is not what he was qualified for. But with enough money down he may have. The truck would have been around the price he wanted, but there is no point trying to sell him a vehicle he was not approved on. [redacted]. [redacted]. He will get $0 from our dealerhsip, but would show him how to re-establish his credit if he would like.

Complaint[redacted] I purchased a vehicle from MacNeil Motors around the 12th of February with the "co-sign' of my mother [redacted]. I had a lien payout with [redacted] of around 27,000. week later I was getting calls from [redacted] about a missed payment that they said was effecting my credit. also upon the review of my loan agreement. I was told that I was going to be getting 21,500 as a trade in value for my previous vehicle (a [redacted] less than 80 k, with a sunroof, leather interior and parks itself) the purchase price of my new vehicle a [redacted] was supposed to be 24,000. but the new loan sale price is quoted on my loan as $40. I also tried to contact [redacted] (the new loan host) to review my loan terms and payment schedule and find out that I do not have a vehicle loan with [redacted]. so I called MacNeil Motors and they tell me that the loan maybe under my mothers name and all they could tell me was the application number of [redacted]. They also have agreed to a number of repairs as part of the purchase agreement (paint chips, sunroof cover repair, door realignment and shocks and struts replacement) I have been contacted once to bring in my vehicle for the suspension and the issue has not been resolved. Desired Settlementi would like trade in value that they first quoted me for my old vehicle ($21,500). The purchase price of my new vehicle adjusted accordingly. I would like the repairs on my vehicle done. and I want the loan with [redacted] in my name like they said it was.

Complaint[redacted]We went to Sasktel Centre to look at cars. [redacted] older gentleman approached us when there. [redacted] said was from bank and had lived in Nova Scotia. [redacted] said he worked for banks not Macneil Motors.Told me to sign papers and give personal info out. Told him I was not co signer. My wife owned car.Said okay. Later found out I was cosigner and [redacted] was salesman and worked at Macneil for years not bank. [redacted]Desired SettlementMy name should never of been on contract as a co signer. [redacted]I want no further contact with business unless involving warranty work and my name removed as co signer

[redacted] I also found out it had previous accidents from [redacted] which we were not told about before we bought it, otherwise we wouldn't have bothered. [redacted]Desired SettlementMoney back.

Excellent service! They didn't have the vehicle I was interested in initially but had it on the lot in a week. Very happy with the value I received for my trade in. Would recommend to anyone.","pos-1
