Review: We contracted Macy Home Pros for a variety of small jobs. We agreed to the contracted price of $2125.00. On 4/2 we gave them a $500.00 cash deposit, which they signed for. Work commenced. The jobs were mostly complete. Then we did a foolish thing. We paid the remainder of the contracted amount before the projects were totally complete. In spite of phone calls and texts for the past three months, they have not returned to fix their errors. They say they will come, but they cancel again and again, with a variety of excuses. Here are the things that they have left unfixed.

When painting our master bedroom, they neglected to repair some of the drywall issues. So they came back and spackled. There is now spackle on the wall and ceiling on one side of the room. It needs sanding and the wall needs to be painted, as well as the ceiling. They got paint on our new bedroom carpet and did nothing to remove it. Further, when they took out the doors to paint them they did it on our driveway without putting down protection. When white paint got everywhere, they said that it was water based and it would come off in the rain. It did not. We tried to remove it, but it would not come off, so we had to redo the driveway sealer to cover all the paint splatter.

They installed a new railing on our back step. The nails they use are rusting and leaving black streaks which are staining all of the wood.

They laid a new tile floor in our half bath, The tiles are not level. The grout is coming our from between the tiles and the saddle that they installed between the bathroom and the hall is too small.

We know that we are going to have to fix all of these things ourselves. We want to protect other consumers from this type of service. They seemed earnest. But we have waited three months. Once they got the cash, they were done.Desired Settlement: [redacted] Macy told us that they have some financial issues. We doubt that we will ever see a refund for the work that needs to be completed. We would like this complaint to be visible to other consumers. If someone else had reported about their sloppy, unfinished work, we would not have hired them. We did research and we found nothing regarding their company.
