Mad Man's Cycles Reviews (1)

Mad Man Cycles has done over $3000.00 dollars worth of damage to my motorcycle. I brought it in for simple repairs and asked that they don't go over $700.00 without calling me. they went to $1130.85 and did not call. They charged me for parts that were never installed or in shop. They ruined a custom paint job on rear fender, dinged an Arlen Ness headlight, left the bike coveredin grease, created a transmission leak by drilling into transmission casing, installed steel bolts on an all chrome engine (i was assured chrome would be used) the original issue of the ignition switch was never replaced. They jetted the carb and now bike pops and stalls. Bike still cuts out due to ignition. they assured me it ran great. For $1130.85 I got, fluids changed, spark plugs changed, 3 bolts repaired and replaces with wrong bolts, jetting of carburetor that runs worse now. They ordered a front fender for the bike to pass inspection, only to tell me they ordered the wrong fender, because someone put a custom wheel on it. Its a CUSTOM Harley, they estimated the bike to be worth 35k and 40k. I do not have a fender or any of they parts they charged me for and have only returned one phone call since. They had my bike from june 16th till july 3rd. I left repeated calls to ask for updates on the bike, I had to go into the shop several times to check on the status of the bike. They never return calls or answer the phone.Desired SettlementI want a complete refund and replacement of all damaged paint on fender, seat, transmission and headlight. I also want them to pay for another shop to repair the damage they have done to my motorcycle. The bike is now being documented by a reputable custom bike builder and mechanic. All work by Mad Man Cycles is being retraced and documented.Business' Initial Response hi[redacted] the reply is to answer on case#XXXXXX first is that he stopped by few months back with a bike that he took in trade of money that was owed to him it is a 1994 almost 20 year old bike that has sat for a while the bike did not sound to good plus his exhaust was falling off the bike we ck it out and found that the main bracket to hold exhaust system was just hanging because the three bolts to hold it in were snaped off we told him we could just put one bolt in for know he said fine that would get him home then he called and asked if he could drop bike off for us to do alot to bike and fix broken bolts that were snap off in transmission case I told him that sometimes we could get lucky and drill them out and we were and saved him 6 hrs labor and @$89 =$534.00 and $90 parts seal locks and fliud and orings he was very happy then we worked on lights some wiring tune and carburetor and told him that his ingnition switch was bad and could make bike stall and pop and even quit and his speedo doesnt work or his tach and his engine mt was broken to so we had to order some parts he ask just to make it run just so he could run it for the 4th of july weekend and that he would bring it back to do the rest so we ordered that ands in which we called him and said they were in except for front fender mt brackets he says its just a harley which is true but some one put a over size front tire and we have to make it fit as far as the paint its all cracked from age and chipped and no front fender rember this bike is almost 20years old and has sat for a long time and he just jumped on this and started riding it even with all these things to be done not to smart they are only two wheels not four and as far as the 3 bolts we install that were not chrome is because the chrome bolts that snapped off were weakened by the chrome process it does take some of the strength from them thats why the broke off we installe the right grade 8 bolt and ordered some chrome caps to go over them so the look like chrome but will not brake there are some more things that the bike needed to but he didn't want to do them right now I hope this helps you out in this case please feel free to call me XXX XXX-XXXX XXX [redacted] thanks mad man
