Review: In May of 2012 shortly after my mother's death, I contacted [redacted] of this company by email, having found his on-line business ([redacted]) on the internet. I arranged to have him and his partner, [redacted], come to my mother's apartment while I was there clearing out her clothes, to look at possible items they might take on consignment. They came back on May *, 2012 and took some of the best and most valuable items. They sent me a written Consignment letter itemizing everything, and by email proposed to extend the usual consignment period to nine months, as many of the items were most appropriate for the fall season. I never heard from them again, despite several follow-up emails on my part, asking to know if anything sold and for how much, since money would be due me in this case. My last correspondence was on March* of 2013, one month after the nine month period closed. At that time, I asked simply to hear ANYTHING from them, as I felt extremely disappointed at the possibility they simply absconded with my mother's things. I never received a reply. I would be glad to provide documentation to support this complaint.Desired Settlement: In the best of all possible worlds, there would be money owed to me for some of my mother's clothing and accessories. If not, I would be satisfied simply to know that the clothes have been distributed to charity. The worst thing about this interaction, and the reason I would never refer this company to anyone, is being left high and dry with no contact after an initial "charming" sales job. I trusted these two people at a time when I was very vulnerable. I would like to make sure that no one else in a similar position is duped by them.
