Review: made events produce electric zoo festival, new york's top edm festival. this year they had to cancel the last day of the festival. in doing so they also announced that they will be issuing a full refund for the day they canceled. in the 3 months that have passed they have refunded MOST tickets but CLAIM TO HAVE REFUNDED ALL TICKETS, but that is a complete lie, as I and many other people are still waiting for our refunds. iv contacted the ticketing service they use and was told multiple times that my refund check would be sent in within 2 weeks, 3 months later still no refund and now theyre saying they dont know when they will send them out. how can they advertise that they've refunded everyone when its a complete lieDesired Settlement: I just want the refund that they said they were gonna give me.. that they said would be in the mail in 2 weeks over 3 months ago

Review: Hello! I ordered two tickets for Electric Zoo for their "Flash Friday Sale" which as suppose to include discounted tickets ($69 I believe, before fees, but I can check my credit card charge if a specific amount is needed), a free shuttle ride and 10$ vendor credit (two tickets with 10$ each, so 20$ vendor credit total). Upon arrival to the festival, we attempted to redeem our 20$ vendor credit, and surprisingly nobody had a clue what we were talking about. I asked literally everyone (customer sevice, [redacted], help desk, even security because I thought they might know who was in charge). There was absolutely no way to redeem the credit and there were many other patrons experiencing the same problem. They said that "the promotion was thru a third party promotor (made event) and they were not responsible for giving me the credit, however I purchased the flash Friday sale ticket on the Electric Zoo website. I attempted to speak to someone thru the electric zoo website requesting the 20$ credit be reimbursed. I actually emailed them several times over the last two weeks with no response. Originally in my emails I asked for the 20$ to be reimburse but I think I would also like a portion of my ticket reimbursed as well for the hours I had to spend at customer service attempting to resolve this issue, subsequently missing the event I paid for. Below is a copy of the email I sent:

Hello.

I purchased tickets for the Flash Friday sale which included free shuttle transportation and a 10$ vendor credit. However, upon arrival to the festival there was no way to redeem the credit. I first went to the drink tent, where nobody was aware of the deal. They directed us to the help desk. The help desk had no idea of the deal and directed us to [redacted]. [redacted] was not aware of the deal and directed us to customer care. We waited in line for approximately an hour along with other patrons who we're experiencing the same problem. I finally asked where we could redeem our money since everybody seemed to be interested in the same thing. The gentlemen at the booth told us that the deal was "thru a third party promoter" and that ** wasn't responsible for the 10$ credit (we purchased the tickets directly from the ** website so this seemed suspicious to me) I proceeded to ask about where I could get in touch with the third party promoter to get my credit and was informed that they had no idea and basically could do nothing to help me. I continued to seek for ANYONE who would have the slightest information on how to redeem this 10$ credit to no avail. I think I made a valiant effort to obtain what was given to me. I would like a refund of 20$ (I bought 2 Flash Friday tickets) since I don't think ** delivered on their promise, and may have falsely promoted an unobtainable credit. I believe that the festival was wonderful besides this, and would not like to pursue this matter further legally, I would just like what was rightfully offered to me, as I'm sure the thousands of other patrons who purchased the same deal would like.

[redacted]Desired Settlement: $100 after all is said and done seems fair. 20$ for the credit and 80$ for the hassle.

Review: Made Event has failed to provide 33.3% refund promised to ticket holders for the cancellation of Electric Zoo, an event happening over Labor Day weekend in New York City. You will be able to find documented evidence of refund promised by said company here:

Show cancellation announced, September [redacted] 2013 - [redacted]

"The founders of Electric Zoo send our deepest condolences to the families of the two people who passed away this weekend. Because there is nothing more important to us than our patrons, we have decided in consultation with the New York City Parks Department that there will be no show today."

On September **, 2013 a refund statement was posted - [redacted]

"Certain security-driven restrictions and regulations prohibit us from issuing a refund to a credit card in some cases. In these instances we are issuing refunds in the form of a check made out to the name on the order, and mailed to the billing address on the order. All checks will be sent out via US mail."

Front Gate tickets has not provided a response in regards to when the tickets will be mailed, since the event cancellation on September [redacted] the event promoters promised refunds within 2 weeks, then posted an update on September [redacted] stating that checks should be in the mail. As of September [redacted] 2013 a check still has not been mailed to me.Desired Settlement: Expedited refund check to be issued and mailed as soon as possible with tracking number.

Review: I bought my 8/** Sunday Electric Zoo Festival ticket for which [redacted] was handling the ticketing process for MADE. I bought it from a 3rd party at face value ($160 with taxes and fees) and received all relevant information that came with the ticket/wristband. When I got to the festival in the afternoon which started in the afternoon and was supposed to run until the late evening the festival was cancelled by the officials and we were not given any reason. I surmised that it was because of the 2 minutes of light rain that occurred thereafter. The festival was then cancelled despite what was advertised on the ticket policy and at the festival itself that the festival would happen whether "rain or shine." At that point the festival officials and NYPD officials said the festival would refund every person with a ticket the full face value of the ticket. When I contacted [redacted] they said that MADE would not issue a refund even though they cancelled it themselves against their own policy related to weather conditions and despite what NYPD officials and MADE festival officials.Desired Settlement: I am looking for a full refund of the face value of the ticket I payed ($160) plus compensation for the large amount of time I spent trying to recoup the money I paid for the ticket.

Response:

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Made Event regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]

They did not take ownership and responsibility over the tickets/ticket materials I bought and still have. Officials/representatives at the festival should be trusted for what they said and not dismissed much less from their cohorts like [redacted]. I am happy to show/prove all the materials I have which someone who bought direct receives. I do not personally know that person I bought from. If you would like to track them down and enforce they give me the refund directly I am open to that otherwise I feel justified in demanding full compensation for the face value of the Sunday general admission. This does not bode well for the future of this event if matters are to be handled in this manner.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.
