Madison A/C Inc

Madison A/C (contracted through Aire Serv of N. FLA & S. GA) (386 SW Horry Ave, Madison, FL 32340; ###-###-####) was contracted to complete an emergency inspection and repair of an A/C unit at my ex-wife's property where our two young children reside. At first, they were fast to identify the issue and provide a temporary fix until the coil unit could be replaced. Later that week, the technician came out and replaced the old coil with a new one. After further inspection of the work the next day, I noticed that the quality of work was not to the standard it should have been especially considering it cost over $700. There were four different issues. First, the pipe insulation was not re-installed property and there were pieces of insulation that were taped over other insulation and a gap of un-insulated piping. Second, the pipe going into the new coil was not centered through the opening and is resting on the face cover. This will eventually cause friction that will wear a hole in the copper pipe against the steel plate. Third, where this pipe goes in to the unit was not properly sealed and air can flow through that opening rather than through the filter. Finally, the technician installed the condensation drain pipe in a way that left no way to remove and replace the air filter. After multiple attempts to contact the company and resolve the issue, they kept giving me a response that they would call me back to schedule for someone to come back out to take care of these issues but I never got a call back the three times I called them. Also, they told me that they would probably have to charge me to come out and take care of the issues. In my opinion, if you are taking the unit apart, and if you cared about the quality of your workmanship, you should put it back together the correct way. The response I kept getting from talking with the technician was that he put it back together the way he found it but I know for a fact that the filter was able to be removed and changed previously.
