Madison Custom Polishing & Plating

Review: In nov. of 2010 for the first timeI took 2 items of automotive bumpers to have rechromed at Madison Custom Plating .It was way overly costly but I wanted to stay local. Only 3 years later ,to my suprise the chrome is already flaking off. I contacted him this week and he said there is no warranty what so ever and is unwilling to fix his poor workmanship at no charge.I have many years of having plating done by other shops with no problems.I have had other automtive plating done 30 years ago that is still of show quality on my car to this day and subject to the same weather enviornment that he claims is the reason for the flaking of the chrome.He now also states that his chrome plating work must then be kept in a heated environment at all times to prevent such problems .Had he informed me prior to giving him the work I would of sought other alternatives.IN over 30 years and 40 to 50 pieces of automotive material chromed by various shops,nothing until now has only lasted 3 years.I am truley dissapointed in his work,and other people need to be informed as well about his work and the stiff limitations there after.Desired Settlement: A good portion of money spent,since now I have to have the 2 pieces redone.Also other car owners need to be aware of his strict requirements proir to doing bussiness with him,since most owners do not have or cannot afford enviornmentaly controlled storage facillities
