Madison National Life Insurance Reviews (15)

Madison national life as a company is not to be trusted. They got ahold of my information a while back and they have been ripping me off ever since. I recently found out they were using my information to take out a bunch of loans. When I call I get hung up on. When I use intermediaries they just ask for more money. If you get tangled up with this life insurance company, they will suck you dry until you are dead. And when I do die I’m fairly confident the only thing madison will send my family is a bill.

1, 2014. We received one premium payment
on the life policy for $and one on the annuity contract for $50.00, via a
bank allotment. We mailed the life policy

life policy provides for a 30-day free look (examination) period to determine
if he would like to keep the life policy A
review of our records indicates we only received one telephone call from Mr

We have sent a detailed response to Ms. [redacted]'s original Revdex.com complaint on July 26, 2017, which addresses all of her concerns.

Prior to August 1, 2015, MNL sold individual life insurance and
annuities.  Effective August 1, MNL sold
this entire block of business to another insurer who administers the block’s
current insureds.  This block of business
is closed and no further sales are made.  If the agent is...

currently soliciting Ms.
[redacted] for insurance, it is on behalf of another insurer. Our records indicate we received an individual life insurance application
and annuity application, both dated July 10, 2015, from Ms. [redacted].  We also received premium payments of $1
each.  However, no insurance contracts
were issued to Ms. [redacted] because we never received the full premium payments
required.  On October 29, 2015 we issued
a $6 refund check (copy attached with letter) to Ms. [redacted].  As of this date, the check has not been
cashed.

Review: We terminated our policy with Madison National Life in September but the third party administrator hired by them still continues to take money out of my account every month. I have spoken numerous times with representatives but they claim it is a pay roll issue with my company. I am in the Army and this was a personal policy NOT a company policy. There seems to be a huge disconnect between corporate and the representatives. I bank with USAA and they have started an investigation. How can a company continue to take out money for a service I have discontinued? How is it not stealing when money is taken and there is no service provided? This seems to me like a criminal act.Desired Settlement: I want an explanation as to why my money is still going to Madison National Life.

Mr. [redacted] was issued a

Modified Ordinary Life policy, effective 3/1/2008. At the time the application was completed,

Mr. [redacted] completed an ACH Allotment Worksheet to have the premium

payments deducted from his bank account through a bank allotment (TPA

Processing). TPA Processing provides

services to federal, postal and active duty military personnel. They direct funds to a pre-designated

organization. TPA Processing can debit a

client’s checking or savings account, or the Department of the Treasury via US

Government Allotment.

Madison National Life has been extremely unfair in my disability claim. I have never had a claim in 16 years of employment. Due to a mental health issue, I was not able to take care of myself let alone work at a job. I jumped through all of the hoops of paperwork, interviews, my Drs. submitting their information and my claim has been denied twice. My Drs. have stated that they have never had a patient in my situation be denied disability. It has been 30 days since the phone call of my second denial, yet I have received no letter in the mail. I have contacted the company twice and was told that it will be sent out as soon as possible. If I hadn't called I still wouldn't be getting a letter. Unfair practices.

Review: Over the summer, a representative came to my classroom to discuss the life insurance through their company. I explained to the representative at the time that it was not a good time for me to sign up for this product. The representative then said I could sign up and the monies would be withdrawn from my paycheck directly. I also stated that I would not be receiving pay checks over the summer. The representative said it would be fine and to select at least $1.00 from my payroll deductions. I thought it was a little odd but I still chose to follow through and give the company a chance.

Then last month, the representative came again to my job site. I called the representative that day to request another day for the appointment because my classroom was not going to be available for a private discussion but the representative said they couldn't reschedule and that they had to fill out the paperwork that day. I was not happy because we had to do this inside the main office where there were other adults present. I wanted this to be in a private area where my information would not be known. Therefore, I didn't feel comfortable asking questions. They made changes to the account. I knew they had to draft it from my bank account now versus the paycheck. But I did not know on what day nor the amount that they would be taking out. I also did not receive any copies about the contract nor have I received any statements mailed to my house from this business. I feel a little uncomfortable with the system they had in place at least with myself and I decided to cancel the contract.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of $200, the last transaction that occurred from my bank account that cause my account issues because they did not inform me on the date would be drafted out every month nor on the amount.

After trying to contact Mr. David Vogl several times concerning a claim, he finally called back, 4 calls and 13 days later. My employer also called several times and did not receive a call back until after his 3rd call a week later. These calls were important as Madison National Life deals with disability claims. This company also went against 2 physicians' recommendations and expertise. On yet another occasion, Mr. Vogl was rude and unprofessional to one of the physician's nurses.

Our claims specialist does not follow up. Over the past three weeks, he said he would "be in touch." Each week he failed to contact us. We are now waiting for a "letter" which he promised to send out five days ago. (We live in the same state)

I would not recommend this company for any group policies. Lack of communication and follow through reflect negatively on this company.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

We have been working with Madison National for 6 months to resolve an open and shut disability case. We are still waiting for them to get moving. They have letters and medical records, but now want us to drive the disabled person over 90 minutes to an out of state doctor to do an evaluation. We live near Milwaukee. There are over 1 million people living within 30 minutes of our home, but it would seem Madison National cannot find a doctor in our area so they have to send us out to Illinois to find one. They must have a quack down there that is paid by Madison National to dispute legitimate doctors. Our disabled family member has a hard time just sitting for 30 minutes, so a 90 minute ride would be hell on her. Our representative has lost paperwork and had to have the same documents faxed twice, emailed and postal mailed to him to finally acknowledge receipt. They initially said everything was set 4 months ago, then suddenly said we were missing paperwork.
If you are a company who wishes to provide benefits to your employees I would strongly urge you to look elsewhere. This company does not provide a service, it creates hardship. Which is the opposite of what they are being paid to do.
