Review: I brought my wife's land Rover LR3 to Madison Tire for a new set of tires and routine oil change to the rear differential. I received a call from [redacted] at the shop, who stated they had drained the differential " and all was good, the oil was clean with no metal shavings." he just needed to check with Land rover for information on which oil he should use. When the service was complete, we picked up the car. Within only a few mile sof driving a "low traction" warning light came on. We returned to the shop and one of their technicians stated that it was a faulty code because they had accidentally drained the battery. They reset the code and reurned the car to us. By the time we got the car home( less than 2 miles) multiple traction warning lights appeared and the car went into " safe mode" where the air bags deflate and the car lowers to the ground. we returned the car to the shop. They had the car for a day or so and said that "it's a problem with outdated codes" and the dealer needed to reset them. They then drove the car aproximately 15 miles to the land Rover dealer. I then receieved a phone call from the dealer, as well as a copy of an email from the dealer to the shop explaining that they had incorrectly serviced the rear differential, using the wrong bolt on the differential to add the fluid. According to the delaership, this is will cause a failure of the clutch assembly in the differential and destroy the differential if driven this way. This dealer ship technician told me that there was evidence that the front bolt( the incorrect bolt) was removed and fluid was visible at that location where it had been added. The dealer service technician was quite clear that this had caused the differential to fail. The dealer stated when they drained the oil " at least a cup of metal shavings came out" Madison tire refuses to accept responsibility or provide repairs they caused. they intially promised to " make it right' but the balked that " the dealer is too expensive'Desired Settlement: madison tire is unable to repair the damage they caused to my vehicle. The car needs to be repaired by the dealer and is undrivable until that is done. The cost of the repair is over $4,000. Madison tire caused the damage and they should be responsible for repairing it
