Magic Auto Repair & Body Shop Reviews (1)

On January 28, 2017 the customer [redacted] brought her car in for an oil change. This customer claimed that her vehicle was over heating. She mentioned that she previously took the vehicle to a different mechanic in [redacted] to which she mentioned her car was overheating. The other mechanic proceeded to...

change the rack and pinion in her car which has nothing to do with the vehicle over heating. We noticed there was a hose missing from the antifreeze reservoir during the first visit, which we replaced at no cost to the customer. The mechanic also mentioned she needed to put [redacted] A4 antifreeze (pink) antifreeze in her car because we were out of stock. We also told her that the thermostat would be the first thing to replace if her car continued to overheat. She declined and said she would try her car out a few days with the hose we inserted.A couple days later she came back and said the hose had come off. We then put it back in at no charge. We then told her to put more antifreeze and to change the thermostat. She left and returned saying that her vehicle continued showing signs of high temperatures. At this time she mentioned that "the other mechanic" replaced her radiator cap. Wednesday, February 1st  she came in again and said her check engine light was on. The codes read that her vehicle needed the spark plugs replaced. The spark plugs were replaced and appeared as if they had not been changed in quite some time.  The car was left running and never presented signs of overheating to our mechanic. No codes were coming out. The next morning she came in and said the car overheated on her husband. At this time the car had the check engine light again. The mechanic checked it and saw that the vehicle heads were damaged. When we called to notify her she went off on a rant over the phone. She came in upset and we handed her the old spark plugs. I have video surveillance of us handing her the spark plugs. Friday, February 3rd she called and asked for reimbursement for the spark plugs, to which we refused because the job was done and the spark plugs were damaged. She went off on a rant again and even called me racist. She claimed that we damaged her vehicle intentionally. Said we were "helpless" that we couldn't understand how we have been in business for so long. She cussed and cussed until I had to hang up.We never neglected the customer and notified her of all the things her vehicle needed. She refused to change or add some of the things we asked her to do because "she didn't have money." She was also taking her vehicle to a different shop in [redacted]. This lady is trying to get her vehicle fixed her car for free one way or another.
