I am rejecting this response because:Part I: Wrong Choice of Scanner:1.   In response to Mr. [redacted]’s point that I erred on choosing the model of scanner; I have attached (Appendix 1) the text messages we exchanged on our cell phones. 2.   The specific requirement I had shared with him:a.    My motel is a low cost stay option b.    My customers are not international travelersc.    Not everyone in the US has a passport (based on my long-term experience 3.   I was offered the choice of 2 scanner models:a.    Driver’s License Reader b.    Passport Reader4.   The Driver’s License Reader made more sense, based on his inputs5.   He claims that during the sales process he had explained that the scanner wouldn’t read Illinois license plates – and insists that even after he shared this I still chose it – a machine that wouldn’t read the license plates of the very state I live in and have my motel in6.   What is even more disquieting is that he went ahead and sold me a product which would not work at all – caring little for whether the machine would work for my specific requirements, as well as customer satisfaction 7.   Post buying the product we had trouble using it, for obvious reasons (as mentioned above). I have spent 40-50 minutes, speaking with their Tech Support, every alternate day in getting it to work or sorting out issues8.   My point is, that when they sold me the product, they had no clue that it would not work in Illinois. And when they did realize this fact, instead of owning up to their mistake, apologizing and refunding me my money – at the very least – they went ahead and they asked me for a further $1190, baling this entire fiasco on me 9.   Mr. [redacted] also claims that I used the full version, as demo, for 21 days before buying it – therefore I should have discovered this glitch earlier. To this, here are my points:a.    The receipt clearly shows that I paid the company on 02/14/2016, post which they sent me the hardware and the complete copy of the software. So, the question that begs for an answer is: How would I have been able to test the system without both, the hardware and the software?10.        After paying up $1945, we have, till date, not been able to use the system and have not gone live because the product is just clearly not working – in spite of multiple calls to their Tech Support, granting them remote access to my computera.    Their Tech Support team members - [redacted] (an alias), [redacted]) and [redacted] have told me that this scanner will not work in IllinoisPart II: OCR Scanner 1.   Please refer to the attached email from Mr. [redacted], Tech Support for [redacted], (the Card Scanning Solution and Scanner provider to Anand System) whose scanner was sold to us, in a misrepresented manner, by Mr. [redacted]2.   We wanted a product / system we could rely on (who doesn’t?) 3.   Since we have bought this product, it has given us nothing more than trouble 4.   We have not been able to go live with this software - and in case we go attempt to go live - we will need reliable Tech Support for the organization – which 5.   The way they work, I will need an attorney’s intervention to get whatever little support they are offering 6.   This doesn’t make for a good deal or working – and in any case – all their falsehoods, misguiding and misrepresentations have left a huge question in my mind about how much can I really trust them – especially since they ask for remote access to my system (which has all my data) Part III: Hardware 1.   With respect to returning only the hardware, it needs to be understood that we bought it as a package – and one without the other is useless and pointless. We paid for both – and I would like a refund for the entire package In conclusion, everyone, including us, needs vendors whose morality is not questionable and who aren’t cheating their customers – and all Anand Systems and Mr. [redacted] have done is lie, backtrack and misrepresent. We demand full refund. In case of them not giving us a full refund, I request Revdex.com to publish this case to save other people from being gypped by this company.

ahead and purchase our software.Ms. [redacted] [redacted] downloaded our software demo on Jan 19, 2016 at 11.08.37am (PT). This was free demo without any obligations. After looking at our free demo, she decided to purchase our software and at the same time she also requested ID Scanner and Signature Pad hardware to purchase. We are offering multiple versions of ID Scanner and our website also shows description of different ID Scanners and we did explain difference between different model of ID Scanner. She decided to purchase our lowest price Barcode ID Scanner mode and based on her request we did sell to her.Based on her request invoice was generated on Feb 10, 2016 at 1:18 PM and she did send us payment confirmation on Feb 14, 2016 at 5:27 PM.After looking at her payment conformation full version of software got installed on her computer on Feb 17, 2016. This is full version of software, permanent license was granted on her computer. She owns full never expired software on her computer.This is no refundable permanent license for software installed on her computer. As we have given her full version of license so she now own lifetime license of software.She ordered Barcode scanner and some of IL driver license has encrypted data on driver license that can't read guest information from driver license and only take photo copy of driver license. During purchase we did explain her that if barcode is not in readable position than you can't read driver license with this scanner.We offered her as you have problem with this ID Scanner we can take scanner back and refund you for scanner. Scanner cost was $550. She did't agree for same.We propose her, we can give you higher model of scanner that work on [redacted]. That scanner cost is $1095 and she want that to be overnight deliver so $95 shipping cost and total comes out - $1190. We ask her, you return low cost barcode scanner and I can only charge difference. She don't want to return old scanner and she want us to charge for difference between $1190 - $550 = $640 and once she receive new scanner, she will return old scanner. Now ask me which company get agree for this type of terms and condition? She was us to ship $1100 scanner and she only want to pay $640 for that scanner. What if she don't return old scanner? Who is going to pay for it.She currently have permanent software license on her computer, we don't know if she copy that license to multiple locations too.We are ready to take Barcode scanner back and refund her full payment to herorWe can ship new [redacted] scanner and we can refund for barcode scanner once we get it back here. She need to pay for [redacted] Scanner and she need to ship us back old scanner.She hold permanent license and now she want full money back. Our license policy clearly stated, once license is generated, it can't be refund for any reason. We are giving 21 days fully working demo and she did downloaded demo and after that she decided to purchase our software. So there is no question of refunding for software license. If she want she can send us back hardware and we can refund for hardware payment. She want full money that is not going to happen in any condition after permanent license is generated.Thank you,[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:  When you sell someone a software, you should allowed them to be able to change the password/username or to be able to log in.  The issue was nothing technical that needs technical service.  The issue was we are locked out of the system that we paid in full.  There was no way for us to be able to reset password/username to get back in.  In addition, we have use  d the same password/username, there shouldn't be any reason for us to get locked out completely.  Even if we accidentally entered in wrong password/username, we should be able to reset it since we bought and own the system!  There was absolutely options or ways to reset it.  This company is very shady in doing business.
