Magic City Motors

On December 20th 2019, I went to Magic City Motors Inc. to purchase a Chevrolet Express cargo 2006 van. I saw a vehicle that I thought would be a good buy. I started the van to make sure it is running. I met with *** (part owner per himself) and he stated to me "if you want the van you must leave a deposit to hold it." I gave Mr. $5000 cash. I returned to the mentioned business with my mechanic and Mr. was present however, he told me that the van can not start and he is waiting on a mechanic to come and fix it and he would not give me the key to access the vehicle. I told Mr. that I am no longer interested in the van because it is not in the condition in which I left it. He stated "okay but I don't have the 5000 dollars to give you now, you have to come back 4 PM next week." I went back as he instructed and was given 3500 dollars cash and was told to come back next week Saturday. I did and he was not there. I called Mr. and he told me sorry I wasn't able to have the money ready just come back next week Saturday. Mr. had me returning to his place of business every Saturday and was never given any money still to this day. On January 25, 2020 I went to the mentioned business to pick up a check and it was $250 instead of $1500 I refused the check. Mr *** told me " I only owe you $500 because you told me to keep $1000" I ask Mr. "why would I do that this is my money and we are not friends for me to offer my money to you." He refuse to to give back my $1500 that he owes me.
