Response to Customer’s Problem Magic Marv’s Remodeling [redacted] June 12, 2017 He didn’t show up in November and didn’t answer my calls. · I have no excuse for this. I was tied up with other jobs and was overbooked as jobs didn’t go as...
planned. Figure out what to do with my bathroom sink. He never did. I am still without one. · Will be installing cabinets that she wants but will have to remove drawers from cabinet (a double bowl vanity with a single bowl sink). This cabinet isn’t available in the style customer wants. I have the cabinet to install. This costs me more to install but the customer isn’t paying extra for this service. Normally, I would charge an extra $150.00. He left the chimney flu crumbled in my house and it is still there. · I do not understand what she is referring to on the chimney as I didn’t do anything or change anything with the chimney. I gave him another $20,000 in the end of December or early January because he said he needed it for more supplies. He hasn’t been back since I have given him that money. I got a letter from the IRS in February saying [redacted] has a tax levy against him and I was not to give him any kind of money. We are at 65% completion. I have now given him $80,000 out of $102,000 job. · The tax levy has been paid. It has been released by the IRS. · The $20,000 went to carpet, flooring, other materials and labor. · I have contacted the customer and told them I would be there on Monday, June 12 and to have everything ready to do demo work when I got there. When I arrived, the rooms were not ready. This was the customer’s responsibility. My roof is leaking, brand new drywall has been ruined, and my basement is still flooding which was supposed to be corrected. · I was told that the roof was fixed by the homeowner, it wasn’t on the bid. (The leak is where the roof meets the addition that was done many years ago.) I will have to talk to my drywall contractor to see what repairs will cost. · Basement leaked when we had 13 inches of rain. It hasn’t leaked before or after that. Also, the power went out and the sub pump wasn’t working to remove any water that would come in. It’s a 120 year old house that has a stone foundation and an inner concrete foundation. It wasn’t in the bid to fix the foundation. I was told by homeowner that there were no leaks when I started.
