around that timeCity of Rockport also had citywide power outage due to damage to electric polesThe electrical issue was resolved within two hours and lights came back around 11:pmAll the guests were informed about the power outage At the time of check out (Check out time for our motel is 11:00, which guests are informed at time of check in) *** *** came to our office at 12:(an hour late, without any prior permission of checking out late) to inform us that there are bugs in the room and she wants full refund backWhen we ask her about what kind of bugs did you find in room, she showed us pill bug (roly poly) wrapped in a paper towel. When we tried to inform her that the bugs are not dangerous and they might have come into the room due to heavy rain two days agoWhen two people from office staff went to her room to check on bugs, we did not discover any bed bugs as she had complain aboutThe bite marks on one of her kid was truly a mosquito biteThey all had mosquito bites from their outdoor activitiesAs any other cities, Rockport also had heavy populations of mosquitos after heavy rain on 4/She also started complaining about mattress being dirty and smellyWe did not discover any bugs (or bed bugs) on our mattressesAll of our mattresses and linens are cleaned after each guest leavesAccording to their complain they stated that they came to complain the next morning, but Mrs*** did not come until the time of her check out day on 4/as mentioned aboveIf they had mentioned any of this complains ahead of time, we would have accommodated them with different room or could have made some other arrangementsThe reason for office person to get upset over refund is they asked for full refund not only for their room but their friend’s room (who did not have any complain about the room or their stay)We offered them partial refund due to their inconvenience on the day of heavy rain and power outageThe bug’s issue was completely bias since there were no evidence of bed bugs and the bug Mrs*** brought was pill bug not a bed bugThe bites were mosquito bites, because bites form bed bugs are completely different then what their kid hadFull refund was not offered due to their bias complainsNone of the complain was filed until the time of their full two day stay was over None of our previous guests has ever complain about getting scabiesWe have many returning customers who come to stay at our place for yearsIf Mrs*** was so worried about the health of her kids, she should have checked out from room on the very first day just like any other concern parent would do. Instead of checking out on the very first day, this family did not even checked out on time; they stayed an hour extra in our room Magic sun tan motel is very decent quiet place on the bay with affordable price rateMrs*** obviously enjoyed her stay on both days and also she was able to enjoy all the activity happening in surrounding areas like Selena festival in Corpus Christi and sand festival in Port Aransas without paying extra ratesMost of the motels in Corpus Christi, Port Aransas, and Rockport were charging holiday rates

I am rejecting this response because:
I complained to the office that next morning. I tried to do it that same night but when I went to the office  everything was locked.  I believe it was the time the lights were out. The lights did not come on at 11:30pm!!!! 
And, the bug I have is NOT a roly poly. I know what a roly poly looks like and when I showed the staff the bug I had, they did not seem to care!! They did not say anything about the bug not being harmless!! 
And yes, unfortunately I had to stay the second night there, due to the fact I drove all the way from Houston and there was nowhere else to stay because everything was booked.
I have pictures to show the safety hazards and dirty mattresses with tell-tale signs of bed bugs. I would be more than happy to forward that over to the Revdex.com.
And, about the relative issue. They were the ones trying to get me a refund as well. I never told y'all anything about giving them a refund as well. All I mentioned was the issues they were having too and they complained about as well.
And, they were the ones who checked out late. Not me. I checked out at 11am!!! Yes, I was with them when they went to complain to the staff as well because we booked at the same hotel and had plans together for the rest of the day. But no, it was not me who checked out late!!
And, who are you to say I enjoyed my stay?? There was nowhere else to go so unfortunately I had to stay there!
