Brought a starter to *** to rebuild it and he new it was bad but rebuilt it anyways brought back to him didn’t want to refund the 93.00 I payed me in full for it instead took off price of a new starter and charged me the difference 100.00 took the new one home it burnt up took it back and he warranty it I took the next one home it done the same I took back to him he asked me if I wanted the money back I said yes he gave me 100 of the 193.00 that I payed and said have a good day I asked what about the 93.00 he said that for parts and labor on the burnt up old starter I went to a parts house and got the right starter for it and no issues I thank he sold me the wrong starter for the equipment

Mr. did bring his starter into my shop for repair. I explained to him the option if we couldn't fix his starter, which was our first objective, we would put the charges to a new starter. After what we thought the old starter was repaired, we contacted him it is ready for pickup. We did run the starter on our test bench while the customer was there after our repairs. The repairs took approximately 2hours, there were some concern on our part that the starter may fail under a load( that is when the engine trys to crank) .
But the starter ran good on our test bench.
The customer returned and said he tried it on his machine but it would not work. So we started the conversation about a new starter. He paid me a $100. , gave him the new starter.
The next day the customer returned with new starter, it had failed. I proceded to replace that starter with another new starter.
Friday, 5/15/20, he was back with the other new starter, it had also failed. I gave him his $100.. back and I also gave him his original starter with new parts back fully assembled.
I was not rude to the customer, but I felt he was over getting new starters from us.
As far as $93.00 , that was for the new parts and labor we spent on the original starter trying to save the customer some money.
I have been in this business for 20years, to my knowledge this may be my first encounter with the Revdex.com.
Hope it is my last, but I feel we acted in good faith, towards the customer..the results obviously wasn't what we anticipated.
