The Patient visited Magnolia Skincare on January 28th, 2015; this was a courtesy visit. Upon arrival, the Patient presented and redeemed a Groupon for two Fraxel laser treatments at Magnolia Skincare. Once the Patient was seen by our Doctor he...

determined the Patient's skin was burned due to treatment in another facility not associated with us, He addressed his concerns with the Patient, he suggested waiting for the Patient to heal and return for an appointment after 4 weeks.
On February 2711, 2015, the Patient returned to our office to be seen for Fraxel laser treatments. The Doctor once again determined the Patient's skin was burned, he advised to wait a period of I month. The Patient confirmed an understanding verbally. The Doctor spoke about applying a topical medication to remedy the burns. The Patient is to be seen and treated once the burns are healed. During this visit, the Patient did disclose of previous treatment of injections from another Doctor.
A voice message was left at our office on June 9th, 7015. The messages states the Patient wants to talk to the office manager regarding a complaint and wants our office to follow up with a letter of apology, The Patient mentioned mistreatment by the staff.
We understand the Patient wants to be seen for the laser treatments. Our Doctor has determined the condition of the Patient's skin was burned and therefore, unable to perform the treatments. We offered the Patient a refund of the purchased coupon because the services were not performed; unfortunately the Patient declined the refund_ We may contact Groupon and request to reverse the transaction. We apologize for any inconvenience or miscommunication, but we can only go by the Doctor's recommendation and at this time the treatments are not recommended.

We have made contact with Groupon to follow through in the process of refunding the transaction between Magnolia Skin Care, Groupon, and the patient. Unfortunately, per the provider's advice, no treatment will be performed on the patient and we shall proceed with a refund. Our office is made aware that Groupon will contact the patient to proceed with the refund transaction.
We sincerely apologize for any miscommunication, inconvenience.
